PT Asia Sejahtera Mina Tbk Siap Dukung Program Hilirisasi Pemerintah

Jakarta, Maret 2024. Hilirisasi merupakan penghiliran atau pengolahan bahan baku menjadi
barang siap pakai dengan tujuan meningkatkan nilai tambah dari produk tersebut. Hal ini yang
tengah dioptimalkan Pemerintah Indonesia agar bahan mentah dapat diolah menjadi bahan
setengah jadi sebelum dilakukan ekspor ke Luar Negeri. Sejalan dengan hal tersebut, PT Asia
Sejahtera Mina (“AGAR”) saat ini tengah fokus dalam mendukung program hilirisasi tersebut,
khususnya hilirisasi rumput laut.
Direktur Utama Perseroan, Indra Widyadharma menjelaskan dalam mendukung program
hilirisasi Pemerintah, Perseroan telah melakukan akuisisi Perusahaan rumput laut pada tahun
2022. “pada tahun 2022, kami berhasil mengakuisisi PT Giwang Citra Laut (“GCL”) yang
berada di Takalar, Sulawesi Selatan. Nantinya GCL akan mengolah dan memproduksi Semi
Refine Carragenan” pungkasnya.
Seperti yang diketahui, Semi Refine Carragenan (“SRC”) merupakan produk olahan /
ekstrasi rumput laut yang berbentuk tepung dimana sangat berguna pada industri pangan
antara lain sebagai pengental, pembentuk gel hingga sebagai stabilisator makanan dan
minuman. Selain itu, SRC juga sangat bermanfaat dalam bidang farmasi yaitu sebagai bahan
pembungkus pil/tablet dan bahan kosmetik. SRC juga dapat dimanfaatkan pada industri tekstil
maupun percetakan.
“Akuisisi PT GCL yang berlokasi di Kabupaten Takalar sangat menguntungkan bagi kami.
Karena Kabupaten Takalar merupakan salah satu sentra budidaya rumput laut di Sulawesi
Selatan. Sehingga PT GCL dapat menyerap langsung produksi petani rumput laut di Takalar
dan sekitarnya.” ujarnya.
Saat ini, Perseroan tengah melakukan pendalaman dan perencanaan lebih lanjut dalam rangka
memproduksi produk tersebut. “kami harap produk SRC dapat dipasarkan ke Negara-Negara
tujuan ekspor paling cepat pada Triwulan II 2024. Tentunya kami perlu memastikan agar SRC
yang kami produksi memiliki standar kualitas yang tinggi” ucapnya.
“Diharapkan dengan adanya produksi SRC tersebut dapat menjadikan nilai tambah untuk
Perseroan. Selain itu, produksi SRC juga menjadi bentuk nyata dukungan Perseroan kepada
program hilirisasi yang tengah dijalankan Pemerintah” tutupnya.

Government's Downstream Program

Jakarta, March 2024. Downstream refers to the process of refining or processing raw
materials into finished goods with the aim of increasing the added value of the products. This
is currently being optimized by the Indonesian Government to ensure that raw materials are
processed into semi-finished goods before being exported abroad. In line with this, PT Asia
Sejahtera Mina ("AGAR") is currently focusing to support this downstream program,
particularly in the downstream of seaweed.
The President Director of the Company, Indra Widyadharma, explained that in supporting the
Government's downstream program, the Company had acquired a seaweed company in 2022.
"In 2022, we successfully acquired PT Giwang Citra Laut ("GCL") located in Takalar, South
Sulawesi. Eventually, GCL will process and produce Semi-Refine Carrageenan," he concluded.
As is known, Semi-Refine Carrageenan ("SRC") is a processed product or extraction of
seaweed in powder form which is very useful in the food industry, including as a thickener,
gelling agent, and stabilizer for food and beverages. In addition, SRC is also very beneficial in
the pharmaceutical field as a coating material for pills/tablets and cosmetic ingredients. SRC
can also be utilized in the textile and printing industries.
"The acquisition of PT GCL located in Takalar Regency is very beneficial for us. Because
Takalar Regency is one of the central for seaweed cultivation in South Sulawesi. Thus, PT GCL
can directly absorb the seaweed production of farmers in Takalar and its surrounding areas."
he said.
Currently, the company is conducting further research and planning in order to produce the
product. “We hope that SRC can be marketed to our export destination countries at the
quickest in the second quarter of 2024. Of course, we need to ensure that the SRC we produce
meets high-quality standards," he said.
"We expect that the production of SRC will add value to the company. Additionally, the
production of SRC also represents the company's tangible support for the downstream
program being implemented by the Government," he added.
