Jakarta, February 2024. Seaweed is a commodity that is currently growing and has very
promising prospects. Currently, Indonesia is the second largest producer in the world after
China. This has led many businesses in Indonesia to engage in seaweed business, one of them
is PT Asia Sejahtera Mina Tbk. As one of the largest seaweed suppliers in Indonesia, PT Asia
Sejahtera Mina Tbk was established in 2008. Up to now, the company has supplied 3 types of
seaweed, namely Eucheuma Cottoni, Echeuma Spinosium, and Gracilaria. These types of
seaweed are very useful as materials in the pharmaceutical, cosmetic, and food industries.
The supply of seaweed is mainly to countries in Asia, Europe, and South America, including
Indonesia.

In 2019, the company conducted an Initial Public Offering (IPO) and officially listed on the
Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) on November 26, 2019, with the stock code "AGAR," making
the company the only seaweed supplier listed on the IDX. At that time, the company issued
250,000,000 new shares at an IPO price of Rp110 per share and successfully fully
subscribed, raising fresh funds of Rp27.5 billion.

The President Director of the company, Indra Widyadharma, stated that in order to meet the
demand for seaweed, especially from overseas, the company partners with seaweed farmers
located in Sulawesi, West Nusa Tenggara, and East Nusa Tenggara regions. "Our partnership
with seaweed farmers is very beneficial for the seaweed supply at our warehouses with B
classification, located in Surabaya, Maros, and Makassar," he said.

In its business process, the company first gathers seaweed from its suppliers, which consist
of farmers who have become partners. Once gathered, tests are conducted to determine the
seaweed's water content and level of impurities. After testing for water content, the seaweed
is dried again by sun-drying until the water content reaches 38%. "The dried seaweed then
packaged and exported directly from the nearest port from our warehouse," he said. In a
year, the company can export up to 22 thousand tons of seaweed.

"In our process, we maintain high standards and have passed tests and obtained certifications
from the Ministry of Marine Affairs and Fisheries and the Ministry of Trade of the Republic of
Indonesia," he concluded. Some of these certifications include Hazard Analysis Critical
Control Point (HACCP), Phytosanitary, Processing Eligibility Standards (SKP), and
Warehouse Receipt System.
