Press Release
Elnusa Strengthens Strategic Role in Energy Exploration through Technology-Driven
                               Geoscience Capabilities
Jakarta, 18 August 2026 – PT Elnusa Tbk (Elnusa), an integrated energy services company and part of Pertamina’s Upstream Subholding,
continues to strengthen its Geoscience & Reservoir Services (GRS) capabilities to support exploration and broader energy industry needs
through technology, innovation, and integrated operational expertise.

Through its GRS business, Elnusa integrates data acquisition, processing, and modeling capabilities to generate high-resolution subsurface
insights that serve as a foundation for understanding subsurface conditions and supporting decision-making in exploration and
engineering activities. The use of wireless and nodal technologies also provides greater flexibility in data acquisition methods, particularly
for remote areas and operating environments with challenging access.

Elnusa Corporate Secretary, Rustam Aji, said technology and innovation are essential to strengthening Elnusa’s capabilities while
addressing the evolving needs of the energy industry. He emphasized that these capabilities must be supported by operational readiness
to ensure that the technologies developed can deliver optimal value in the field.

“For Elnusa, technology and innovation are not merely part of our operational tools, but serve as enablers in delivering increasingly
adaptive and value-added energy solutions. Therefore, we continue to develop our technological capabilities while ensuring the readiness
of the supporting ecosystem, ranging from expertise and equipment to material management and mobilization to operational sites. The
integration of these elements is essential to delivering tangible added value to our customers,” said Rustam.

To support data acquisition requirements across diverse field conditions, Elnusa has a technology portfolio covering land seismic, marine
seismic, nodal technology, seismic drilling, recording systems, Vibroseis, Ocean Bottom Nodes, and non-seismic surveys. These
capabilities are supported by more than 100 sets of surveying, navigation, and positioning equipment; more than 250 sets of seismic
drilling equipment; more than 25,000 recording and cable system channels; 9 Vibroseis units; 1 Indonesian Seismic Vessel; 2,000 Ocean
Bottom Nodes; 8,000 Onshore SmartSolo Nodes; and 25,000 Onshore STRYDE Nodes.

Elnusa’s experience in seismic data acquisition technology has also continued to evolve. Since 2005, Elnusa has utilized the Sercel 428 XL
with a capacity of 20,000 channels, followed by the RT 2 Wireless Seismic System with a capacity of 2,000 channels in 2015. In 2021,
Elnusa added 8,000 SmartSolo channels to support surveys in remote areas, and in 2025 strengthened its capacity with 25,000 STRYDE
node channels. These developments have expanded Elnusa’s technology options for supporting seismic data acquisition across a wide
range of operating conditions.

On the seismic source side, Elnusa operates the 15,000-lbs EnviroVibe Vibroseis to support subsurface imaging, including in mining areas,
sub-volcanic terrain, and urban environments. This capability also provides an avenue for Elnusa to develop homegrown innovations,
including MiniVibro, a compact seismic source developed for geohazard and geotechnical surveys. MiniVibro has a capacity of up to 4,000
lbs and a frequency range of 10–200 Hz. Its compact and maneuverable design enables surveys in areas with limited accessibility. The
development of MiniVibro reflects Elnusa’s ability to translate field experience and operational needs into technology solutions
developed through local engineering expertise.

Beyond survey applications, Elnusa’s Vibroseis capabilities are also being developed for other applications, including the use of the
Vibroseismic EOR method as an approach to supporting production enhancement while taking environmental considerations into
account. Vibroseis can also serve as an alternative seismic source for surveys in coal-bearing areas with certain geological complexities.
From an operational readiness perspective, Elnusa is supported by an integrated supply chain ecosystem. Elnusa’s BSD Warehouse is one
of the supporting facilities responsible for managing materials and equipment, covering receiving, storage, inventory management, and
mobilization to work sites. With an area of approximately 4,505 square meters, the facility supports structured operational management
to ensure materials and equipment are available according to operational requirements.

Asset readiness is further supported by the Asset Reliability & Productivity function through the management of asset reliability,
availability, and productivity. This approach includes maintenance strategies, condition monitoring, and risk management to ensure that
equipment, acquisition systems, and supporting infrastructure continue to meet technical, safety, and quality standards.

The strengthening of Elnusa’s GRS capabilities and supporting ecosystem forms part of the company’s “Rediscover Technology and
Innovation Edge” theme. By combining technology, innovation, engineering expertise, asset readiness, and operational support, Elnusa
continues to develop solutions that address exploration needs with greater precision while strengthening its contribution to the energy
industry.
