INTERIM RESULTS FOR THE PERIOD ENDING 31 DECEMBER 2023
PT Ashmore Asset Management Indonesia Tbk (AAMI, Ashmore Indonesia, the Company) today
announces its unaudited results for the six-month period ending 31 December 2023.
Ashmore Indonesia’s AuM increased by 5% y/y to Rp33.3 trillion (US$2.2 billion) as at 31 December 2023. While
average AuM for the six months was down 2% y/y the average fee margin increased by 1%, resulting in a 1% y/y
decline in net revenue(1) and 2% increase in core profit(2).
Key financial highlights:
      Quarter ended 31 December 2023
• AuM increased by 4% q/q to Rp33.3 trillion (US$2.2 billion) from Rp32.1 trillion (US$2.1 billion) as at 30
September 2023. The increase was driven by net inflows of Rp1.5 trillion (US$99 million), predominantly in to
funds in the equity theme, and negative investment performance of Rp0.2 trillion (US$13 million). The Company
launched five new products in the period, three of which are discretionary accounts, delivering Rp1.6 trillion
      (US$104 million) of net inflows.
Six months ended 31 December 2023
• AuM increased by 2% over the six month period. Average AuM for the six months fell by 2% y/y as flows occurred
towards the end of the period. However, a shift in product mix resulted in a higher average fee margin and
therefore net revenue declined by 1% y/y to Rp106 billion. Institutional clients represent a higher proportion of
AuM, increasing to 68% of AuM (30 June 2023: 64% of AuM), in line with the Company's business strategy to
      diversify its client base.
• Cost discipline continues to be a focus, which resulted in a 2% y/y decline in operating expenses.
• EBITDA(3) declined by 3% y/y to Rp54 billion and the resulting EBITDA margin of 50% is consistent with the prior
      year period.
• Net profit was up 12% y/y due to a gain on the partial disposal of Ashmore’s investment in BID, as announced on
      27 September 2023. Core profit increased by 1% y/y to Rp46 billion.
• AAMI maintains a strong cash position with Rp170 billion as of 31 December 2023, and additionally has seed
investments totalling Rp106 billion. The Board of Commissioners has approved an interim dividend of Rp18.5 per
share (H1 2023: Rp16 per share) to be paid on 23 February 2024, which is 1.2x covered by interim diluted EPS of
      Rp23.
