BUMI Awarded International Risk Management Award at CIR Risk
Management Awards 2023
Jakarta, 22 December 2023

PT Bumi Resources Tbk. (BUMI) was announced as the winner in the International Risk
Management category at the 2023 CIR Risk Management Awards. This category is the only
international category that non-UK companies can participate in. The announcement of the award
winner was held in an awarding event at the London Marriot Hotel, England (30/11) with BUMI
represented by a member of its Board of Commissioners, Mr. Thomas M. Kearney. BUMI
succeeded in winning this award category which includes 9 other international companies.

This award acknowledges the excellence and a form of recognition of the company's achievements
in risk management at international level, by one of the prominent risk management publications in
Europe. BUMI has showcased how its risk management’s journey moves from its inception to
current condition where it must resume significant role in the company, to face the challenges as the
push for climate change mitigation has been accelerating. The assessment was carried out by a panel
of judges consisting of representatives of international risk management organizations, the Institute
of Risk Management (IRM), and several global company leaders.

In relation to receiving this award, BUMI’s President Director, Mr. Adika Nuraga Bakrie stated that
"We are delightful to receive this award and once again it shows that BUMI's risk management is
on the right track and leading the initiatives of aligning ESG with its enterprise risk management
system and becoming Company's strength in responding to business challenges. This is particularly
strategic and critical in a time when the global businesses must adapt to a world that is transitioning

The CIR Risk Management Awards is an award initiated by Continuity, Insurance, and Risk (CIR)
Magazine, a media platform headquartered in London, England and has been established since 1996.
CIR Magazine is known to have a strong reputation with impartial, independent reporting, and high-
quality analysis.
