BUMI WIN HUMAN RIGHTS RISK ASSESSMENT AWARD
FROM THE MINISTRY OF HUMAN RIGHTS ON 75 th WORLD
HUMAN RIGHTS DAY
Jakarta, 15 December 2023

PT Bumi Resources Tbk. (“BUMI” or “Company”) won a prestigious award through the Business
and Human Rights Risk Assessment (PRISMA) at the 75th World Human Rights Day in Jakarta
(10/12), attended by the Minister of Communication and Information, Chairman of KPU RI
(Indonesia General Election Commission, Chairman of Komnas HAM (National Commission of
Human Rights), Acting Governor of DKI Jakarta, and other regional leaders. The award was
conferred directly by the Minister of Law and Human Rights of the Republic of Indonesia, Yasona
Laoly, to BUMI and 4 other companies who succeeded in winning the best award in managing
business risks towards human rights.

PRISMA was developed by the Ministry of Law and Human Rights and is followed by all domestic
companies to assess and identify the risks of human rights violations that could occur in companies.
PRISMA is a human rights risk assessment that is in line with the mandate of Presidential Regulation
Number 60 of 2023 concerning the National Strategy for Business and Human Rights.

BUMI is one of the pioneer companies in Indonesia that respects and upholds human rights in doing
business. As a company engaged in the mining business, BUMI supports the enforcement and
respect of human rights, which has become the main commitment for BUMI's sustainability.

BUMI President Director Adika Nuraga Bakrie said, "As a company engaged in the mining business,
we strongly encourage that PRISMA assessment be followed by all companies, allowing them to
assess and identify the risks of human rights violations that could occur in a company. He further
assessed that the mining business, which is an extractive industry, is of important value and has high
and complex risks. Thus, it is important to mitigate mining risks, one of which is through human
rights risk assessments.”

Mr. Aga added, "Apart from that, BUMI also upholds the principles of occupational health and
safety, especially in mining operations as well as freedom of association for its employees."
