Chandra Asri Group Supports Cirata Floating Solar PV Plant in Meeting Domestic
Content Levels for Plastic Raw Materials

Jakarta, 4th December 2023 - PT Chandra Asri Petrochemical Tbk (Chandra Asri Group), Indonesia’s
leading chemical and infrastructure company, has supplied raw materials for floaters used for the solar
panel system of the national strategic project, Cirata Floating Solar PV Plant (PLTS), in meeting Domestic
Component Level (TKDN) requirements.

By utilizing Chandra Asri Group's HD Blow UB5206H resin, the floaters of the Cirata Floating Solar PV Plant
(PLTS) project are specifically designed to withstand the weight of the solar panels, electrical components,
and other related equipment to ensure safe and reliable operations. These floaters provide the necessary
buoyancy for the solar panels to float on the water's surface. Additionally, they assist in preventing the
solar panels from sinking, adapting to changes in water levels, and maintaining stability to prevent the
solar panels from tipping over or flipping.

The Floating Solar PV Plant that occupies over a 200-hectare reservoir is the first utility-scale project in
Indonesia and the largest in Southeast Asia, with a capacity of 192 MWp. The Cirata Floating Solar PV Plant
project is part of Indonesia's efforts to increase the share of renewable energy sources (EBT) in the
national energy mix, aiming to achieve Net Zero Emissions (NZE).

The Cirata Floating Solar PV Plant is a project initiated by PT Pembangkitan Jawa Bali Masdar Solar Energi
(PMSE), a joint venture between PLN Nusantara Renewables and Masdar (Abu Dhabi Future Energy
Company). This green project is estimated to contribute 245 GWh/year of Green Energy and reduce
214,000 tons of CO2/Year towards achieving Net Zero Emissions (NZE). In addition to its environmental
benefits, the Cirata Floating Solar Power Plant project also contributes to the domestic economy through
the fulfillment of Domestic Component Level (TKDN), the involvement of local labor, and local Small and
Medium Enterprises (UMKM).

Edi Rivai, Direktur Legal, External Affairs & Circular Economy Chandra Asri Group, stated, “As a growth
partner, Chandra Asri Group fully supports the provision of local content in energy transition projects in
Indonesia, as we have done for the Cirata Floating Solar PV Plant. We always strive to meet the applicable
standards in providing plastic raw materials for renewable energy projects in Indonesia, such as complying
with the Indonesian National Standards (SNI) certifications to ensure the highest quality,”

“In addition to attesting Company's readiness to provide high-quality raw material supplies, our
involvement in the Cirata Floating Solar Power Plant reaffirms the Company's commitment to reducing
Indonesia's dependence on imported petrochemical products and supporting the Net Zero Emission
program in Indonesia,” Edi Rivai continued.

Chandra Asri Group also plans to initiate a floating solar panel project in Waduk Krenceng through its
subsidiary, PT Krakatau Chandra Energi (KCE). This project will be initiated with the construction of Phase
1 in 2024, targeting a capacity of 9.6 MWp, and will progress to the next phases until reaching a total
capacity of 32 MWp. The floaters used in this project will also 100% utilize the company's HD Blow
UB5206H resin.
