BUMI Earnes Leadership AA Predicate at ESG Disclosure Transparency
Award 2023

PT Bumi Resources Tbk., (“BUMI” or “The Company”) won the prestigious award - Leadership AA in
the ESG Disclosure Transparency Awards 2023 by Investortrust.id in collaboration with the BGK (Bumi
Global Karbon) Foundation organization at Gedung Thamrin Nine, Jakarta (29/11) together 8 large
national companies with the same title.
This award is given to corporations that have implemented openness or transparency in ESG
implementation. In the 4th year of holding this award, 80 companies were selected to receive awards
with several titles.
The ESG Disclosure assessment is carried out by the BGK Foundation through Sustainability Reporting
analysis to determine the level of ESG transparency using ESG factors that are considered relevant. The
BGK Foundation has identified 33 key ESG factors based on regulatory studies, international
agreements, and reporting standards and guidelines, such as the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI),
Taskforce on Climate-related Financial Disclosure (TCFD), Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP), and
contributions companies towards Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
President Director of PT Bumi Resources Tbk., Mr. Adika Nuraga Bakrie stated, “The company
expresses its gratitude for the prestigious award won by BUMI in the ESG Disclosure Transparency
Awards 2023. ESG has become a strategic KPI of PT Bumi Resources Tbk with a future focus on further
improving ESG performance and the quality of ESG Disclosure. This award proves the Company's
commitment to always providing added value to the community and environment in which the Company
operates. Until the end of this year, BUMI has received 5 prestigious awards in the ESG area, as
recognition of BUMI's commitment to improving ESG performance.”
He added that, “The commitment made by the Company is not merely a program, but has become the
embedded Core Competences of its business, allowing it to carry out the best practices, contribute to
creating independence in society which undoubtedly contributes directly to the realization of SDGs and
aspects of Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) as stated in Law no. 40 of 2007 concerning
Limited Liability Companies.”
