Chandra Asri Group Ensures Safe Operations, Strengthens Preparedness
Amid Mount Anak Krakatau Activity
Jakarta, September 7, 2026 – PT Chandra Asri Pacific Tbk (Chandra Asri Group), a leading
industrial company in Southeast Asia, continues to strengthen its preparedness and mitigation
measures in response to the developments in Mount Anak Krakatau activity, particularly for its
operations in Cilegon, Banten. To date, the Company’s operations, including production, facility
and infrastructure management, as well as logistics and distribution activities, continue to operate
safely with a strong emphasis on safety.
Chandra Asri Group actively monitors developments related to the activity of Mount Anak
Krakatau and maintains ongoing communication with stakeholders at both the Banten regional
and national levels. Together with the Cilegon City Government, the Company has also
participated in coordination meetings to discuss the latest situation and the necessary
preparedness measures. Monitoring is conducted regularly by referring to information and
guidance from the relevant authorities, as part of the Company’s efforts to ensure readiness in
response to potential conditions that may arise. Chandra Asri Group also routinely monitors daily
updates from BMKG regarding volcanic activity and the potential spread of volcanic ash, as well
as sea levels in the jetty area as part of its precautionary measures.
Chandra Asri Group’s Director of Human Resources & Corporate Affairs, Suryandi, said,

In line with the developments in Mount Anak Krakatau activity, we continue to strengthen our
monitoring and preparedness measures in the field. To date, our operations continue to run safely,
supported by various preventive measures and emergency response procedures that have been
put in place.”
To further strengthen its preparedness for various potential scenarios, the Company also
conducts checks to ensure the adequacy and readiness of emergency response equipment, as
well as simulations covering various scenarios and procedures for the rapid shutdown of facilities
when necessary.
At its operational areas, the Company has increased monitoring of dust and volcanic ash
conditions through routine inspections and field patrols. The Company also advises employees
regarding the potential exposure to volcanic ash, including the use of masks as appropriate to
conditions in the field.
In addition, the Company has reiterated its preparedness procedures to relevant teams in the field
to ensure that all personnel understand the necessary steps to take in the event of an emergency.
The Company also ensures that filter cleaning activities are carried out regularly, while
maintaining the availability of filters and critical spare parts needed to support facility readiness.

Chandra Asri Group continues to coordinate internally with relevant parties, including by closely
monitoring information updates and guidance from the competent authorities. The Company will
continue to monitor conditions and adjust its preparedness measures in line with developments,
while maintaining the safety of employees and communities, as well as the continuity of
operations, as its top priorities.
