BUMI COO & KPC CEO Ashok Mitra Wins Top Indonesia Best
Employer Brand Awards 2023

PT Bumi Resources Tbk (“BUMI” or the “Company”) through its business unit, PT Kaltim Prima Coal
(KPC) won 5 (five) prestigious awards, three awards for individual category and two awards for the
organization category from the Indonesia Best Employer Brand Awards 2023, Hotel Grand Sheraton
Jakarta (24/10). This event was initiated by the Employer Branding Institute of India.
The awards are as follows:
1. CEO of the Year – Ashok Mitra
2. Lifetime Achievement – Ashok Mitra
3. CEO with HR Orientation – Ashok Mitra
4. Managing Health at Work – KPC
5. Promoting Health in the Workplace - KPC
This award is an appreciation to Ashok Mitra for his hard work and high commitment in making KPC
a leading company in the world. Ashok received the award for the individual category directly from
Dr. R.L. Bhatia as Director of the Employer Branding Institute of India. Meanwhile, the organization
category was received by Tina Sirait, GM Human Resources Division, KPC.
In his speech, Ashok Mitra said, "This award is the result of the collaboration of all teams at KPC who
support each other to ensure that KPC is able to operate in an excellent manner."
Furthermore, he emphasized that the issue of human rights and equality was also a serious concern.
He gave an example of opening career paths for all employees without discriminating against certain
genders. “KPC provides opportunities for women to develop equally with men. At KPC, Gender
Equality is merely a slogan, as evidenced by the large number of female employees," he said.
President Director of PT Bumi Resorces Tbk., Adika Nuraga Bakrie emphasized, "The Company
would like to express its gratitude for the prestigious award from the Employer Branding Institute of
India for the individual and organization categories. Apart from mining, we also care about the
community, especially those who live around the mine. This concern is manifested in the form of
various social programs to help improve community welfare. For this reason, we believe that the
Company can provide added value to stakeholders and the surrounding community."
