BUMI Subsidiary Arutmin Wins Highest Award and Prestigious
ProKlim Charter from Minister of Environment and Forestry

PT Bumi Resources Tbk (“BUMI” or the “Company”) through its business unit, PT Arutmin Indonesia
(Arutmin) won the highest award from the Ministry of Environment and Forestry at the Proklim 2023
Award Ceremony and the Inauguration of the House of Collaboration and Climate and Carbon
Consultation. This activity is a series of Climate Festival activities held at the Auditorium of DR.
Soedjarwo Manggala Wanabakti Building Jakarta (24/10).
This award is an appreciation for communities that have succeeded in realizing real climate change
mitigation and adaptation.
The awards received by Arutmin were directly conferred by the Minister of Environment and
Forestry, Mrs. Siti Nurbaya consist of :
1. Proklim Award in the Sustainable Category, namely the assited village program by PT Arutmin
Tambang Asamasam, which include Hamlet I Asri Mulya Village, Jorong District, Tanah Laut
(Tala) Regency.
2. Award in the Proklim Supporter Appreciation category.
In her speech, Mrs. Siti Nurbaya said, "The impact of climate change is not only felt by Indonesia, but
also felt by the world, one of which is the extreme hot weather experienced by Indonesia. Of course,
this drought has caused forest fires, crop failure, and so on. We need to collaborate with each other
among stakeholders to face the challenge of this climate change."
President Director of PT Bumi Resources Tbk., Adika Nuraga Bakrie emphasized, "The Company
would like to express its gratitude for the prestigious award from the Ministry of Environment and
Forestry for Arutmin in the 2023 Proklim Award. BUMI's commitment together with its business units
is to always support the Government's program in making SDG's activities a success, especially for
point 13, Climate Action. The commitment made by the Company is not just a program, but has
become the Company's business Core Competence which has been embedded in BUMI and its
business units, allowing it to carry out best practices, contribute to creating independence in society
which undoubtedly contributes directly to the realization of the SDGs and Environmental, Social and
Governance (ESG) aspects as stated in Law no. 40 of 2007 concerning Limited Liability Companies.
We are confident that we can create value added to stakeholders and the surrounding community."
