ANTAM Starts Initial Phase of Haltim Ferronickel Plant Commissioning

Jakarta, July 8, 2023 - PT Aneka Tambang Tbk (ANTAM: IDX: ANTMj ASX: ATM), member
of Mining Industry Indonesia (Persero) (MIND ID) - the State-Owned Enterprise Holding of
the Mining Industry, is pleased to announce that the Company started the initial stage of
operation of the Haltim Ferronickel Plant, in North Maluku, which was marked by the
burner-on or furnace heating process on July 7, 2023, before the flow of electricity. After the
burner-on process is conducted, ANTAM will do the switch-on phase of the Haltim
Ferronickel Plant furnace.

ANTAM's Director of Business Development, I Dewa Wirantaya, said:

“Following ANTAM's commitment to focus on the completion of the Company's
strategic projects in 2023, the Haltim Ferronickel Plant is entering the initial stage of
the commissioning series marked by the burner-on. East Halmahera Ferronickel Plant
Development Project (P3FH) is one of the realizations of mineral down streaming
carried out by ANTAM in order to support the strengthening of the mineral industry
in Indonesia. We hope that the plant's commissioning will run smoothly to
immediately provide benefits to the Company, the Nation, and the State.”

The Haltim Ferronickel Plant, located in East Halmahera, North Maluku, will have a capacity
of 13,500 ton nickel in ferronickel (TNI). Once the Haltim Ferronickel Plant is fully
operational, it will support ferronickel production from the Kolaka Ferronickel Plant in
Southeast Sulawesi, which has a capacity of 27,000 TNi. Thus, ANTAM will have an installed
ferronickel production capacity portfolio of 40,500 TNi.
