34 Years of Growing Together with Indonesia, Chandra Asri Group
Continues to Strengthen the National Industry

Jakarta, 12 September 2026 – For 34 years, PT Chandra Asri Pacific Tbk (Chandra Asri Group)
has been part of Indonesia’s industrial growth journey. As the first company to operate a naphtha
cracker in Indonesia, Chandra Asri Group laid the foundation for the country’s national
petrochemical industry and has continued to serve domestic industrial needs through products
used across a wide range of sectors.

As the Company has evolved from its initial focus on building industrial feedstock capacity,
Chandra Asri Group has expanded its capabilities across three pillars, Energy & Chemicals,
Integrated Infrastructure, and Mobility Solutions. This transformation continues to position
Indonesia as the Group’s core foundation for growth.

The transformation has broadened the ways in which Chandra Asri Group contributes to
Indonesia. While for more than three decades the Company’s contribution has largely been
through products that form an integral part of Indonesia’s industrial supply chains, today that
contribution is also reflected in the development of energy and infrastructure capacity, the creation
and expansion of employment opportunities, talent development, and the expansion of
Indonesia’s capabilities at the regional level.

President Director of Chandra Asri Group, Erwin Ciputra, said, “For 34 years, we have grown
alongside Indonesia. We began our journey by building national petrochemical capacity and
serving industries through the products we produce. Over time, Indonesia’s needs have evolved,
and we have continued to build new capabilities through business diversification.”

Erwin Ciputra continued, “For us, regional growth is also part of that journey. As our businesses
expand across the region, Chandra Asri Group creates opportunities for Indonesian talent, brings
Indonesian capabilities to regional markets, and generates benefits that can further strengthen
our business base in Indonesia.”

From Feedstock to Supporting Indonesia’s Industrial Journey

For more than three decades, Chandra Asri Group’s products have been used as feedstock
across various industrial sectors, including packaging, automotive, construction, and electronics,
while supporting the everyday needs of Indonesian communities.

This role is part of Chandra Asri Group’s long-standing journey in building petrochemical industry
capacity in Indonesia. By providing domestically produced feedstock, Chandra Asri Group has
Page 2
become part of the national industrial supply chain and supported the growth of downstream
industries.

The Group’s commitment to further strengthening this capacity is reflected in the development of
its Chlor-Alkali and Ethylene Dichloride (CA-EDC) facility in Cilegon, Banten. As of July 2026,
construction of the facility, which is being developed through PT Chandra Asri Alkali (CAA), had
reached 72% completion and entered the main phase of infrastructure development, with
commercial operations targeted to commence in 2027. With an investment value of more than
US$800 million, the project forms part of the Group’s long-term strategy to strengthen the
reliability of basic chemical supplies for national industries, reduce Indonesia’s reliance on
imports, create jobs, and expand employment prospects for Indonesian workers in the industrial
and manufacturing sectors.

Expanding Energy Capabilities to Support Indonesia’s Needs

At the regional level, the acquisition of Aster Chemicals and Energy (Aster) has expanded the
Company’s presence in the energy and chemicals sector, while the integration of the Esso
network in Singapore has strengthened the Group’s experience in managing energy businesses
and fuel retail networks.

These developments do not stand alone. Within the Group, these assets and capabilities are
becoming increasingly interconnected, building experience and expertise in energy management,
operations, supply chain management, and customer service. Through Aster, Chandra Asri Group
can also contribute to energy security by supplying petroleum products, including gasoline, jet
fuel, gas oil, and bitumen, to support various industries in Indonesia.

By strengthening its capabilities in Indonesia while expanding its experience across regional
markets, Chandra Asri Group continues to develop an energy platform that can support the long-
term needs of its businesses.

Infrastructure Connecting the Industrial Value Chain

Beyond energy and chemicals, infrastructure has become an important part of Chandra Asri
Group’s transformation journey. Through PT Chandra Daya Investasi Tbk (CDI), the Group is
developing infrastructure businesses spanning Power, Industrial Water, Ports & Storage, and
Logistics. In 2026, CDI continues to strengthen its position as a regional infrastructure platform.

This development expands the Group’s role across the industrial value chain. While Chandra Asri
Group initially focused on providing industrial feedstock, the Company is now also developing
infrastructure that supports the movement and storage of goods, as well as utilities to meet
industrial needs.

As such, the infrastructure business complements the Group’s strengths in energy and chemicals,
while creating opportunities to further develop and support an increasingly integrated industrial
ecosystem.

Growing Across the Region, Building Capabilities in Indonesia

Chandra Asri Group’s regional expansion is not only broadening the scale of its businesses, but
also creating new opportunities that can generate benefits for Indonesia. One example is PT
Chandra Asri Sentral Solusi (CASS), established as a strategic partner to provide services
supporting the operations of the Group’s entities in Singapore. CASS plays a role in building more
integrated and standardized processes, leveraging digital technology, and strengthening
operational excellence.

The presence of CASS also creates employment opportunities and supports career development
for professional talent in Indonesia. By supporting the Group’s operations from Indonesia, CASS
enables Indonesian talent to gain experience working in a regional business environment, while
building competencies that can strengthen the Group’s capabilities as a whole.

For Chandra Asri Group, this is one way in which regional growth can also benefit Indonesia, with
the business expanding across the region while talent, capabilities, and strategic functions
continue to be developed in Indonesia.

Regional growth also provides Chandra Asri Group with an opportunity to bring Indonesian
capabilities and expertise to broader markets. As the Group’s businesses continue to expand
across the region, the knowledge and experience gained from regional operations can be brought
back to further strengthen its businesses and human capital in Indonesia.

From Indonesia, Expanding Across the Region

Indonesia remains the foundation for Chandra Asri Group to build its businesses, develop
industrial facilities, create jobs, and nurture talent. At the same time, regional expansion provides
the Company with opportunities to develop new expertise, expand its network, and bring
capabilities built in Indonesia to regional markets.

Through this approach, Chandra Asri Group continues to build stronger connections between its
businesses in Indonesia and regional operations, with the aim of enabling growth in one part of
the Company to strengthen capabilities in another.

“As we enter our 34th year, we see Chandra Asri Group’s journey as more than just the journey
of a company, it is also our ongoing effort to remain relevant to Indonesia’s evolving needs. From
the feedstock used by industries, investments in new capacity, and job creation, to infrastructure
that supports supply chains and opportunities for Indonesian talent to grow through regional
businesses, we want to continue building capabilities that deliver tangible benefits,” Erwin Ciputra
concluded.
