JAST Supports the Strengthening of Emergency Service 112 as Part of the Public Safety Architecture Bali, September 24, 2026 – PT Jasnita Telekomindo Tbk (JAST) participated in the Joint Commitment of the Central and Regional Governments to Strengthen the Implementation of Emergency Service 112 in Bali, as part of efforts to reinforce the implementation of the single emergency call number 112 as an integrated, responsive, and easily accessible public service. The event, held in Nusa Dua, Bali, brought together representatives from the central and regional governments to strengthen coordination in the delivery of emergency services. Attending the event was Dr. Safrizal ZA, Director General of Regional Administration Development at the Ministry of Home Affairs, together with representatives from the Ministry of Home Affairs, the Ministry of Communication and Digital Affairs, the Bali Provincial Government, regency and city governments across Bali, BNPB, and other relevant stakeholders. The strengthening of the 112 implementation was marked by a Cooperation Agreement between the Ministry of Communication and Digital Affairs and the Ministry of Home Affairs, as well as a joint commitment among regional governments across Bali Province. The agreement was signed by Wayan Toni Supriyanto, Director General of Digital Infrastructure at the Ministry of Communication and Digital Affairs, and Safrizal ZA, Director General of Regional Administration Development at the Ministry of Home Affairs, witnessed by the Governor of Bali and the Secretary General of the Ministry of Communication and Digital Affairs. 112 Is More Than Just a Phone Number Emergency Service 112 is designed as a single integrated access point for various emergency situations, ranging from fires and accidents to medical emergencies and disasters. Through one easy-to-remember number, public reports can be received and coordinated with the relevant agencies so that field responses can be carried out more quickly and effectively. More than just a phone number, 112 is part of the public safety architecture. Behind this single number is a system that requires integrated technology, aligned operational procedures, prepared human resources, and coordination among local governments, healthcare services, fire departments, the police, BPBD, and other emergency response institutions. This is in line with the objectives of the Single Emergency Call Number Service as stipulated in Minister of Communication and Informatics Regulation No. 10 of 2016, which aims to establish an integrated emergency call center, provide easier access for the public, accelerate emergency response, and strengthen coordination among agencies.

JAST Supports the Implementation of Emergency Service 112 As a service provider supporting the operation of Emergency Service 112, JAST participated in the event as part of the ecosystem supporting the government in building an integrated emergency response service. For JAST, the success of 112 is not determined by technology alone, but also by the ability of all service components to operate within a coordinated workflow—from receiving emergency calls from the public, verifying reports, forwarding them to the relevant agencies, to ensuring that field responders take appropriate action. This approach positions technology as a bridge connecting the public, regional governments, service operators, and emergency response agencies, enabling information to move faster when every second matters. Building an Integrated Public Safety Ecosystem Strengthening Emergency Service 112 is also closely linked to the disaster management system. BNPB considers that its development should be aligned with emergency services and the mechanisms of the BNPB/BPBD Emergency Operations Control Center, particularly in receiving reports, verifying incidents, exchanging information, and coordinating responses. In addition to technical readiness, public education is an important part of the service implementation. Greater public understanding of the role of 112, as well as responsible use of the service, is essential to ensure that emergency resources can remain focused on people who genuinely require assistance. Through collaboration among the Ministry of Home Affairs, the Ministry of Communication and Digital Affairs, regional governments, BNPB, service providers, and other relevant institutions, the strengthening of Emergency Service 112 is expected to support the development of a national emergency response system that is increasingly integrated, responsive, reliable, and focused on public safety. For JAST, this commitment further emphasizes that public service transformation is not merely about digitalization, but about how technology can help the government respond faster when people need assistance.
