1. Industry Overview
Indonesia dominates the global nickel market, accounting for over half
of global mining production, primarily driven by its massive laterite ore
reserves. Demand for refined nickel remains robust and is projected to
stay strong in the years ahead, primarily driven by its extensive use in
the construction sector for stainless steel, while the battery industry
for electric vehicles (EVs) is expected to recover post-destocking amid
varied metal content across battery types.
