Energy Efficiency Innovations Lead Chandra Asri Group to
Win the 2025 National Energy Efficiency Award
Jakarta, December 12, 2025 – PT Chandra Asri Pacific Tbk (Chandra Asri Group), a
leading provider of energy, chemical, and infrastructure solutions in Southeast Asia,
received the 2025 National Energy Efficiency Award (PEEN) for the Sub-Category of
Special Innovation in Energy Management in Industry. This award recognizes
Chandra Asri Group’s success in implementing energy efficiency innovations that have
contributed to energy savings, emission reductions, and enhanced reliability of each
plant operations.
The National Energy Efficiency Award (PEEN) 2025, presented by the Directorate
General of New, Renewable Energy and Energy Conservation (EBTKE) of the Ministry
of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) of the Republic of Indonesia, was given in
recognition of four energy efficiency innovations that have been implemented:
• Reduction of Energy Intensity in the Polyethylene Plant
Enhanced Catalyst Feeding System performance and the installation of
CORTEE helped reduce contaminants, resulting in more efficient and stable
production processes.
• Energy Efficiency & Emission Reduction in the Polyethylene SDK Plant
The implementation of the PRIME innovation on the Diluent Recovery Column
(C-5624) successfully cut energy consumption while lowering emissions.
• Optimization of Propylene Partial Pressure with APC in Polypropylene
Train 2
The deployment of Advanced Process Control (APC) in the reactor reduced the
Energy Index and strengthened overall operational stability.
• Reduction of Polymer Fouling in the EB/SM Splitter – Styrene Monomer
Plant
Replacing anti-polymerization chemicals with a more effective formulation,
coupled with the application of a Double Chemical Injection System, improved
energy efficiency at the reboiler.
Director of Manufacturing Chandra Asri Group, Ronald Sihombing, extended his
appreciation to the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources for the recognition given
to the company for its implementation of energy efficiency initiatives. “Energy
efficiency innovations implemented across Chandra Asri Group have delivered
