Press Release
CDI Group Operates 4.7 MWp Solar Power Plant, Advancing
the National Industrial Energy Transition
Jakarta, November 24 2025 – PT Chandra Daya Investasi Tbk (CDI Group), through its
subsidiary in energy pillar, PT Krakatau Chandra Energi (KCE), has officially begun
operating a new 4.7 Megawatt-peak (MWp) ground-mounted solar power plant. The
facility achieved its Commercial Operation Date (COD) on 17 November 2025, one week
ahead of schedule.
With the operation of this facility, CDI Group’s total installed solar capacity now reaches
11 MWp. The energy generated will directly support the electricity demand of the Krakatau
Industrial Estate in Cilegon, Banten, strengthening its position as one of Indonesia’s key
national industrial areas. This new facility also expands CDI Group’s renewable energy
portfolio and contributes to accelerating the country’s industrial energy transition.
This ground-mounted solar power plant is one of CDI Group’s strategic projects,
successfully optimizing land use by converting 5 hectares of non-productive area into a
green energy asset. KCE continues to expand its renewable energy portfolio through
solar power development, in line with CDI Group’s mission to advance the industrial
energy transition.
Operating with a 4.7 MWp capacity, the solar power plant is projected to reduce carbon
emissions by up to 5,086.74 tons of CO₂eq per year, equivalent to the carbon absorption
of more than 243,000 trees annually. The facility is designed for high operational
resilience and optimal energy efficiency, supported by internationally certified solar panels
and inverters to ensure long-term performance and reliability for industrial operations.
Fransiskus Ruly Aryawan, President Director of CDI Group, stated, “The operation of
this solar power plant by KCE underscores CDI Group’s commitment to delivering more
efficient, cleaner, and sustainable energy infrastructure for Indonesia’s industrial sector.
This project is also part of our long-term strategy to strengthen our energy pillar through
new and renewable energy development, while supporting Indonesia’s national energy
mix targets.”
CDI Group reaffirms its commitment to expanding its solar power plant capacity as part
of its long-term strategy to provide reliable power supply solutions and environmentally
responsible energy infrastructure for the future.
