ANTAM - BRIN Sign Memorandum of Understanding
to Improve the Quality of Natural Resources
Jakarta, October 30, 2025 – PT Aneka Tambang Tbk (ANTAM), a member of MIND ID,
signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the National Research and Innovation
Agency (BRIN) to optimize the utilization of natural resources in Indonesia. The signing of
this cooperation was carried out at the Indonesia Research and Innovation Expo (InaRI Expo)
at the Innovation Stage, Jakarta International Expo (JIEXPO) Kemayoran, Hall A, Central
Jakarta, on Tuesday (28/10) afternoon.
Through this cooperation, ANTAM is committed to improving natural resource processing
through BRIN's research and technology. This collaboration not only focuses on research
activities and covers aspects of production, operational efficiency, and innovation -based
business development.
ANTAM's President Director, Achmad Ardianto, said that the synergy between
research and industry is a strategic step in strengthening national competitiveness in
the mining sector.
“The main focus of research is not limited to the extraction of natural resources that
We may not have been able to do, but can be developed to improve operational
efficiency and other business needs. With this cooperation, our nation is expected to
become more advanced and obtain maximum benefits from natural resources. BRIN
can also increasingly apply its skills and expertise to industries in Indonesia,
especially the mining sector,” said Achmad Ardianto.
Since its inception, the industry has become a strategic partner of BRIN and has become the
basis for the establishment of the Directorate of Research and Innovation Utilization. In line
with the spirit of collaboration, BRIN seeks to utilize research and innovation results in
stages to strengthen the national industry while encouraging national independence.
“Hopefully, BRIN's partnerships with industry in various fields can continue to be built
to get closer to the real needs in the market. BRIN is fully open to collaboration to
support industry players by providing technology encouragement that is expected to
address the challenges faced in the field,” said R. Hendrian, Deputy for Research and
Innovation Utilization at BRIN.

In his speech opening Inari Expo 2025, Head of BRIN Laksana Tri Handoko said the event
was a meeting place between science, industry, and society.
“InaRI Expo is not just an exhibition of research results, but a stage of interaction
between science, industry, and society. Amid the rapid development of AI and other
frontier technologies, Indonesia has a great opportunity to become a major player in
the knowledge -based economy,” he said.
He emphasized that research and innovation should not remain in the laboratory but must
be transformed into real solutions that have a direct impact on economic development and
community welfare. The synergy between research and industry is key in creating
knowledge -based industries that can strengthen the nation's independence through the
development of high -value-added commercial products and global competitiveness.
