CHANDRA ASRI GROUP TO ACQUIRE EXXONMOBIL’S
ESSO SERVICE STATIONS IN SINGAPORE
Indonesia and Singapore – 24 October 2025 – PT. Chandra Asri Pacific Tbk (Chandra Asri
Group), the leading energy, chemical and infrastructure solutions company in Indonesia
Southeast Asia, today announces that it has entered into a Sales and Purchase Agreement to
acquire ExxonMobil’s network of Esso-branded retail service stations in Singapore through a
special purpose vehicle under its wholly-owned subsidiary.
Chandra Asri Group’s acquisition of the Esso retail network aligns with the company’s long-term
growth strategy, which focuses on establishing an integrated energy infrastructure and
advancing the energy and mobility solutions market.
President Director and CEO of Chandra Asri Group, Erwin Ciputra, said, “Our expansion into
Singapore’s retail fuels ecosystem represents a strategic step in shaping an integrated platform
for regional growth. Singapore’s robust fuel retail network and business environment provide a
compelling foundation for Chandra Asri Group to advance as a transformative energy,
manufacturing, and infrastructure solutions leader in Indonesia Southeast Asia. Together with
Aster, through our integrated infrastructure of oil refinery and advanced downstream
manufacturing infrastructure, we aim to strengthen our operational agility and energy
resilience.”
Erwin added that this expansion in Singapore will further reinforce Chandra Asri Group’s overall
position, paving the way for greater investment opportunities, job creation and a stronger
contribution to Indonesia’s economic growth.
Chandra Asri Group will continue to use the Esso brand and buy branded fuels from
ExxonMobil. All customer loyalty points and cards will continue unchanged. Chandra Asri Group
will also take on all the relevant ExxonMobil staff running the business.
The transaction is subject to regulatory approval and is aiming to be completed by the end of
2025.
