baterai swap? Bisa Anda jelaskan?
How will the system work if the drivers (Ojol) are unable to pay the daily fee of Rp39,000 and
cannot recharge at a swap station or replace the swap battery? Could you please explain?
Answer:
menimbulkan risiko keamanan. Sebagai gantinya, ECGO hanya melakukan pemblokiran agar
pengisian daya tidak dapat dilakukan.
ECGO has an IoT system embedded in the battery, allowing the ECGO server to be connected to
the battery in real time. Based on the established formula, if the ECGO server does not receive
the payment by 8:00 PM on the same day, ride-hailing (Ojol) will not be able to recharge the
battery.
ECGO does not immediately disable the battery function, as doing so could pose safety risks.
Instead, ECGO only applies a restriction to prevent the battery from being recharged.
Apakah benar mereka (Ojol) hanya
diputus untuk baterai yang akan diisi ulang?
Are there important devices inside and outside the battery? Is it true that the drivers (Ojol) are
only disconnected from the battery that is to be recharged?
Answer:
ECGO uses semiconductor technology combined with IoT, which is integrated into the battery.
Therefore, even if the battery is dismantled, it will not be easy to determine how the system works
or where it is located.
Page 10
Apa strateginya? So, is this something that only ECGO can implement, or can other competitors also do the same? If only ECGO can implement it, what will happen next? If ECGO’s competitors are able to do the same, then what other advanced features does ECGO plan to introduce beyond this technology? What is the strategy? In fact, the application of IoT in battery management is a fairly mature technology and not a particularly complex aspect. Therefore, it represents only a small step within our overall ecosystem. If our entire ecosystem were to be valued at 100 points, battery control through IoT would only account for about one to two points. Thus, it can be said that battery control is only a very small component, while the overall ecosystem is far more complex. 4. So, in order to maintain market share growth and become a major player, what is ECGO’s next strategy after this expansion? Are there any new technologies that might be introduced in the future besides the two factors ECGO has explained? Since competitors may be able to do the same as ECGO, isn’t that correct?
Our advantage does not lie in just one or two aspects, but in the entire ecosystem. Therefore,
replicating this ecosystem would take at least three to four years. At present, there are around
70,000 ride-hailing drivers on the waiting list to use our motorcycles. Thus, my top priority after
joining the KRYA Group is to enhance our capacity to deliver motorcycles to our customers. This
is crucial, considering that over the past two years we have conducted comprehensive testing of
the system, including tests on reliability as well as the implementation of IoT.
We needed to test everything because this is not an easy process. Even launching a new product
into the market carries very high risks. That is why we took two years to conduct thorough
testing. After those two years, we are confident that the system is sufficiently reliable. Therefore,
we will move very quickly next year and plan to deliver more than 50,000 motorcycles to ride-
hailing drivers (Ojol). This is our plan for the coming year.

What is ECGO’s plan to leverage this first-mover advantage in order to build a sustainable long-
term competitive advantage?
Answer:
Our advantage lies in achieving two key steps: building the ecosystem and testing it. The next
step is to move quickly to secure market share. Therefore, we have partnered with the KRYA
Group to strengthen our capabilities in the supply chain, manufacturing, and cash flow
management.
For example, we targeted a production of 50,000 units per year in 2026, and around 150,000
units in 2027. I am confident that we are in the number one position in the market. Moving
forward, we plan to offer more product variations and expand our facilities. By maintaining this
pace and speed, I am confident that we will continue to be a major player in the market.
Page 12
After the demand for EV motorcycles reaches an economic scale, will battery swapping actually become cheaper compared to, for example, charging or new entrants in the market? If this is possible, one of the things I am considering to build a sustainable long-term competitive advantage in the future is collaborating with ride-hailing companies. Answer: Swap selalu menjadi solusi yang paling mahal. Swapping has always been the most expensive solution. It requires significant expenditures, such as rental of locations, equipment, spare batteries stored in cabinets, and ongoing maintenance. If drivers charge at home, they do not need to pay for location fees, swap service fees, spare batteries, or any maintenance. In fact, government subsidies make electricity even cheaper for the public. As a result, a single battery charge costs approximately IDR 1,500 per battery, whereas swapping costs at least IDR 8,000 per swap. Lithium battery technology is evolving rapidly, with new innovations emerging roughly every two years. This requires us to adopt an efficient and prudent investment strategy, allowing us to leverage the latest technology without incurring significant additional costs. Through this approach, we can maintain operational sustainability and remain competitive in the electric motorcycle market. 3.
Page 13
How does ECGO see the future, perhaps 15 or 20 years from now? Do you think infrastructure in Indonesia will improve and people will truly use public transportation, or will they still rely on motorcycles? And what if one day the competition no longer comes from motorcycles but instead from cars, with costs comparable to motorcycles? Is that possible? Looking at other countries, for example in China, cars have already become quite affordable, yet the demand for motorcycles remains very strong. Thus, motorcycles continue to have their advantages. In Indonesia, motorcycles are the most efficient means of commuting to work. Therefore, I believe that in the next 20 to 30 years, motorcycles will remain one of the most important modes of transportation in Indonesia. In the longer-term timeline—three years, five years—everything can be replicated. But ultimately, after five years, competition will shift toward supply chain and financing ability. That is why we need to move quickly to strengthen our capabilities in supply chain and financing, so that we can always remain number one. Nama Penanya: Amara 1. Could ECGO share a little about its progress or strategy? Because as far as I know, there are already several companies that have established partnerships with retailers in Indonesia. So this might be a challenge for you going forward.
Page 14
Key partners for ride-hailing (Ojol) include a variety of online transportation, logistics, and e- commerce services. Currently, we collaborate with more than 10 different brands. Our strategy is to deliver direct value to the drivers through fair pricing and optimal support, so that they understand that using EV motorcycles brings benefits to them. 2. Jadi, bagaimana menurut Anda tentang preferensi konsumen? From the consumer’s perspective, what is your view on the preference between swapping and charging? People might prefer swapping because they do not need to worry about battery degradation, such as replacing the battery every few years, and so on. So, what is your view regarding consumer preference? Battery swapping has some advantages, but we found that giving drivers two batteries helps them stay productive without worrying about running out of power. This makes it easier and more convenient for them to work and take more orders. In a traditional swapping system, drivers need to swap batteries every 40–50 km. If they only have one battery, they must save about 10 km to reach a swap station, can only use 30-40 km. That’s why we provide two batteries and every battery can ride 70km. With a backup, drivers can ride an extra 70 km and swap batteries anywhere without stress. This strategy helps drivers work more efficiently and get more orders.
