Dukung Pertumbuhan Bisnis, Humpuss Maritim Bangun 2 Unit
Kapal SPHB
Jakarta, 22 Agustus 2025 - PT Humpuss Maritim Internasional Tbk (HUMI) melalui
anak usahanya, PT Humpuss Transportasi Curah (HTC), resmi membangun dua unit
kapal Self Propelled Hopper Barge (SPHB) ) ditandai dengan acara peletakan lunas
(keel laying) di area Galangan PT Cipta Bahari Shipyard, Tegal (21/8). Langkah ini
merupakan strategi perusahaan dalam memperkuat kinerja operasional sekaligus
mendukung pertumbuhan bisnis di sektor jasa transportasi laut nasional.
Direktur Utama HUMI, Tirta Hidayat, menyampaikan bahwa pembangunan dua kapal
SPHB ini menjadi bukti nyata komitmen dalam memperluas kapasitas bisnis.“Setiap
rencana pengembangan usaha yang kami lakukan selalu berangkat dari visi jangka
panjang. Pembangunan dua kapal SPHB ini bukan hanya menambah kekuatan
armada, tetapi juga mempertegas posisi HUMI sebagai perusahaan maritim nasional
yang adaptif terhadap kebutuhan industri,” ujarnya.
Keel Laying secara langsung dilakukan oleh Direktur HTC yang juga menjabat sebagai
Direktur HUMI Dedi Hudayana yang menyatakan, “Pembangunan kapal ini adalah
salah satu upaya kami untuk mengembangkan bisnis. Dengan desain yang inovatif,
kapal ini dirancang untuk mempercepat proses pekerjaan dan menghemat bahan
bakar, menunjukkan komitmen kami terhadap efisiensi.”
Proyek yang ditargetkan selesai dalam delapan bulan, memiliki spesifikasi unggul:
• Draft dangkal 2.3 m yang memungkinkannya mengangkut hingga 700 m³
muatan.
• Dilengkapi dengan mesin 2x450 HP yang efisien.
• Dilengkapi sistem pendorong mandiri (self propeller) yang memungkinkan
kecepatan hingga 5-6 knot saat muatan penuh, jauh lebih cepat dibandingkan
kapal hopper barge yang ditarik.
Kapal SPHB merupakan jenis armada dengan kemampuan mengangkut material
dalam jumlah besar, yang akan memberikan nilai tambah bagi mitra bisnis.
Lebih lanjut, Direktur Utama HUMI juga menambahkan, “Kami meyakini pertumbuhan
bisnis tidak hanya ditentukan oleh strategi, tetapi juga kesiapan infrastruktur. Armada
yang kuat, modern, dan sesuai kebutuhan pasar akan memperkuat daya saing HUMI

Pembangunan dua unit kapal SPHB ini juga sejalan dengan komitmen HUMI untuk

Boosting Business Growth, Humpuss Maritim Builds 2 Units of
SPHB Vessels
Jakarta, 22 August 2025 – PT Humpuss Maritim Internasional Tbk (HUMI), through
its subsidiary PT Humpuss Transportasi Curah (HTC), officially started the construction
of two units of Self Propelled Hopper Barges (SPHB) marked by a keel laying
ceremony at the PT Cipta Bahari Shipyard in Tegal on August 21. This move is part of
the company's strategy to strengthen its operational performance while supporting
business growth in the national sea transportation sector.
HUMI's President Director, Tirta Hidayat, stated that the construction of the two SPHB
vessels is a tangible commitment to expanding business capacity. "Every business
development plan we undertake stems from a long-term vision. The construction of
these two SPHB vessels not only adds to our fleet's strength but also solidifies HUMI's
position as a national maritime company that is adaptable to the industry's needs," he
said.
The keel laying was performed directly by HTC Director Dedi Hudayana, who is also a
Director at HUMI. He stated, "The construction of these vessels is one of our efforts to
develop our business. With an innovative design, the vessels are engineered to speed
up work processes and save fuel, demonstrating our commitment to efficiency."
The project, which is targeted for completion in eight months, has superior
specifications:
• A shallow draft of 2.3 m, allowing it to carry up to 700 m³ of cargo.
• Equipped with an efficient 2x450 HP engine.
• Equipped with a self-propulsion system, allowing for speeds of up to 5-6 knots
when fully loaded, which is significantly faster than a towed hopper barge.
SPHB vessels are a type of vessel with the capability to transport large amounts of
material, which will provide added value for business partners.
Furthermore, HUMI's President Director added, "We believe that business growth is
not only determined by strategy but also by infrastructure readiness. A strong, modern
fleet that meets market needs will strengthen HUMI's competitiveness amidst the
dynamic shipping industry."

The construction of these two units of SPHB vessels is also in line with HUMI's
commitment to continuously contribute to the advancement of the national maritime
industry. With this step, the company hopes to support the Government's agenda to
strengthen infrastructure for connectivity in the domestic shipping sector.
