Chandra Asri Group and Indonesian Ministry of Defense Officially
Commence the 2025 Reserve Component Training: Fostering a
Resilient Generation to Strengthen National Defense
Jakarta, August 20th, 2025 – PT Chandra Asri Pacific Tbk (Chandra Asri Group), a
leading provider of energy, chemical, and infrastructure solutions in Southeast Asia,
together with the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Indonesia (Kemhan RI) and
the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI), officially inaugurated the Reserve
Component Basic Military Training (Latsarmil Komcad) program on Tuesday, 19
August 2025, at the Cavalry Education Center in Padalarang, West Java. This initiative
marks the implementation of the Cooperation Agreement between Chandra Asri
Group and the Directorate General of Defense Potential of Kemhan RI, which was
signed in May 2025.
In its first phase, a total of 181 students from the Banten Polytechnic of
Petrochemical Industry (PIPB) were selected from more than 200 applicants to
participate in the Reserve Component Basic Military Training. Overall, the program
targets the participation of 500 students, which will be realized through multiple
phases.
The Latsarmil Komcad program is designed to prepare Indonesian citizens to actively
contribute to the national defense system, while also strengthening the character,
discipline, and fighting spirit of the younger generation. Participants are also equipped
with leadership skills and national defense values. With this training, PIPB students
are not only prepared to pursue careers in the industry but are also ready to contribute
to emergency situations, particularly in strategic industrial sectors and National Vital
Objects such as Chandra Asri Group.

enter the workforce with technical competence but also equipped with resilience,
leadership, and the ability to make a meaningful contribution to Indonesia’s future.”
Brigadier General Hengki Yuda Setiawan, S.I.P., Director of Defense Resources
at the Directorate General of Defense Potential of Kemhan RI, added, “The
Komcad program with Chandra Asri Group marks the first Komcad collaboration with
private sector. This demonstrates that synergy between industry and the military is
essential, not only in defending the nation but also in shaping an excellent, disciplined

generation that ready to contribute to companies, industries, and Indonesia’s
progress.”
The Banten Polytechnic of Petrochemical Industry is a vocational education institution
under the Ministry of Industry, established to develop highly skilled professionals for
the petrochemical sector. Chandra Asri Group is a key industrial partner, co-initiating
the establishment of PIPB and contributing to the development of the curriculum to
align with industry needs. In the Komcad Latsarmil program, PIPB students from
Process Technology, Mechanical Technology, and Instrumentation Technology
participate as the future talent who will strengthen the national industry and support
the growth of Indonesia’s petrochemical sector.
