Ashmore Indonesia reports AuM of Rp32.4 trillion as of 30 June 2026, representing a 35.3% increase year-on-year from
Rp24.0 trillion. The strong annual growth reflects cumulative net inflows of Rp11.6 trillion over the past twelve months,
underpinned by successful marketing initiatives, continued client confidence and the Company's strong investment
capabilities.
During the quarter, AuM declined by 8.0% from Rp35.3 trillion, primarily due to Rp2.7 trillion of negative investment
performance, while net outflows remained limited at only Rp0.1 trillion. The last quarter was particularly challenging for
the Indonesian capital market due to heightened domestic fiscal concerns, persistent foreign capital outflows and
escalating geopolitical tensions, which weighed on investor sentiment. The Rupiah depreciated by 4.9% against the US
Dollar, resulting in Bank Indonesia to increase its benchmark interest rate from 4.75% to 5.75%.
Despite these headwinds, Ashmore Indonesia continued to demonstrate the strength of its investment platform. Over
the past twelve months, the Company's equity strategies outperformed their respective benchmarks by an average
of 11.4%, while fixed income strategies outperformed by 1.2%. The Company also continues to maintain prudent cost
discipline while investing selectively in future growth, reinforcing its commitment to deliver sustainable long-term value
for clients and shareholders.
Ronaldus Gandahusada, President Director of PT Ashmore Asset Management Indonesia Tbk, commented:
"While the final quarter of the financial year was marked by one of the most challenging market environments in recent
years, the Company’s underlying business continued to demonstrate resilience. The decline in AuM during the quarter
was driven predominantly by market performance, while client flows remained broadly stable. More importantly, over the
past twelve months Ashmore delivered 35.3% year-on-year AuM growth, supported by Rp11.6 trillion of net inflows and
continued confidence in our investment capabilities. Ashmore’s investment teams continued to outperform their
respective benchmarks despite the significant market volatility, demonstrating the value added through consistent
implementation of the Company’s active investment approach.
Looking ahead, the Company remains focused on delivering superior long-term investment outcomes, maintaining
disciplined cost management and strengthening our client franchise. These fundamentals position Ashmore well to
capitalize on opportunities as market conditions stabilize and investor confidence returns."
