Dalam pemahaman kami "saham hasil buyback akan dimasukkan ke dalam portepel" merujuk pada tindakan emiten/perusahaan terbuka yang memasukkan saham hasil pembelian kembali (share buyback) ke dalam portofolio efek Perseroan (disebut "portepel"). "Portepel" adalah istilah yang digunakan untuk menyebut portofolio saham perusahaan itu sendiri, yaitu saham yang dipegang oleh perusahaan setelah melakukan pembelian Kembali (treasury stock). Ini adalah saham Perseroan yang telah dibeli kembali dari pasar atau pemegang saham dan disimpan untuk tujuan tertentu, dalam hal ini untuk rencana pengalihan kembali di masa depan.
