Chandra Asri Group Contributes to National Resilience by
Supporting Reserve Component Training with the Indonesian
Ministry of Defense
Jakarta, May 8, 2025 - PT Chandra Asri Pacific Tbk (Chandra Asri Group), a leading provider of
energy, chemical and infrastructure solutions in Southeast Asia, has signed a Cooperation
Agreement (PKS) with the Directorate General of Defense Potential of the Ministry of Defense of
the Republic of Indonesia (Kemhan RI) to support the training of the Reserve Component
(Komponen Cadangan / Komcad). Through this collaboration, Chandra Asri Group will
involve 200 participants in Komcad training as part of the industrial sector's contribution to
maintaining Indonesia's sovereignty.
Reserve Component is part of the national defense system in which civilians are trained to
enhance and support the main force, namely Indonesian National Army (TNI). Prospective
participants in this Reserve Component Training Program are students from the Petrochemical
Industry Polytechnic of Banten (PIPB), a vocational education institution co-initiated by Chandra
Asri Group as one of its industrial partners.
Baritono Prajogo Pangestu, Commercial Vice President Director of Chandra Asri Group,
said, “Our participation in this training is a form of synergy between the industrial sector and the
government in strengthening national resilience. We believe that national resilience is not solely
the responsibility of the defense sector, but also requires the active involvement of the community,
including the business world. Through the Reserve Component training collaboration, Chandra
Asri Group aims to contribute to fostering a spirit of national defense among the younger
generation, in line with the company's mission as a Growth Partner for Indonesia.”
Piek Budyakto, Director General of Defense Potential of the Indonesian Ministry of Defense
also expressed his appreciation, “We appreciate the commitment of Chandra Asri Group and
PIPB for demonstrating concern and responsibility in strengthening national resilience through
their involvement in the Komcad training. The participation of the community, including the
industrial sector and the academic community, in this program is crucial for fostering patriotism
and enhancing national preparedness.”
With this initiative, Chandra Asri Group not only reinforces the role of the business sector in
supporting national defense, but also directly contributes to shaping character of young
generation. Moving forward, the company remains committed to fostering cross-sector
