Elnusa Supports National Energy Resilience Through Solid
and Innovative Performance in 2024
Jakarta, 17 March, 2025 – PT Elnusa Tbk (Elnusa, IDX: ELSA), a subsidiary of PT Pertamina Hulu Energi (PHE) under Pertamina’s Upstream
Subholding, recorded solid operational performance throughout 2024. With comprehensive business capabilities spanning upstream to
downstream, Elnusa continues to contribute to national energy resilience through competitive and innovative energy services.
In the upstream sector, Elnusa has consistently strengthened its contributions through Geoscience & Reservoir Services, Drilling &
Workover Services, and Well Intervention Services. As of 2024, Elnusa has executed 18 exploration and seismic survey projects, including
2D & 3D seismic surveys, topographic surveys, and hydraulic dilation. Meanwhile, in drilling and well maintenance, Elnusa has successfully
completed 73 projects covering hydraulic workover, well cementing services, and logging services.
In the Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) as well as Operation & Maintenance (O&M) business lines, Elnusa achieved
significant milestones with 21 active projects, including Water Pumping Services, drilling support, booster pump installation, and oil and
gas facility operation and maintenance services. With continuously enhanced capabilities, Elnusa ensures operational efficiency and
smooth energy facility management.
Meanwhile, in the energy distribution and logistics services sector, Elnusa, together with its subsidiary Elnusa Petrofin, has managed 31
projects covering fuel and non-fuel transportation, depot management, and the distribution of fuels and chemicals. Elnusa remains a key
player in supporting national energy distribution through reliable fuel transportation and terminal management services.
Additionally, an innovation implemented at well PPS-X19 in collaboration with Pertamina Hulu Rokan (PHR) Zone 1 represents a
breakthrough in oil and gas production optimization. This innovation integrates velocity string technology and Sliding Sleeve Door (SSD).
The success of this initiative is not only marked by a significant increase in production from 442 BOPD to 1,418 BOPD but also by the
application of a technology configuration that has never been used before in an onshore oil and gas field.
Elnusa’s Director of Operations, Endro Hartanto, stated that recent seismic exploration activities in various regions of Indonesia have
contributed to potential new oil and gas reserve discoveries, which hold promising prospects for the national energy industry.
Elnusa has also played a role in discovering new oil reserves in Sumatra. In this project, Elnusa was responsible for seismic data acquisition
and processing using enhanced methodologies that improved seismic data resolution, enabling the emergence of new petroleum system
concepts, as evidenced by the discovery of new oil reserves.
At the beginning of 2025, Elnusa successfully completed a seismic survey in a coal mining concession area in Tanah Laut Regency, South
Kalimantan, which commenced at the end of 2024. This achievement marks a historical milestone for Elnusa and represents a new step in
Indonesia’s coal mining exploration. This success reflects Elnusa’s commitment to providing adaptive and superior seismic survey solutions
in both the oil and gas and mining industries.
