Press Release
Elnusa’s Commitment to Supporting Economic Independence in
Desa Energi Berdikari Sumengko
Jakarta, February 27, 2025 – PT Elnusa Tbk (Elnusa, IDX: ELSA), a subsidiary of PT Pertamina Hulu Energi (PHE) under Pertamina's Subholding
Upstream, continues to demonstrate its commitment to sustainable development through the Desa Energi Berdikari Sumengko Corporate
Social Responsibility (CSR) program. Since mid-2023, Elnusa has actively conducted direct socialization efforts with the community in
Sumengko Village, Kalitidu, Bojonegoro. One of the key initiatives within this program is the development of a herbal beverage product
based on family medicinal plants (TOGA), named Cenayu.
Cenayu is an herbal drink produced by members of the Family Welfare Empowerment (PKK) group in Sumengko Village, utilizing the region’s
natural resources. This product is made from various TOGA plants such as ginger, turmeric, lemongrass, and curcuma, all of which are
known for their high health benefits. Cenayu comes in 11 unique and nutritious flavors, designed to boost the immune system and promote
overall well-being.
Elnusa has also been conducting regular training sessions for the Sumengko Village community, particularly for PKK members. Previously,
Elnusa held a digital marketing training session aimed at enhancing the community’s understanding and skills in utilizing digital platforms
for marketing Cenayu herbal beverages. By leveraging information technology, it is expected that the community can expand their market
reach and increase their income.
"This program has had a positive impact on the community, especially through the utilization of TOGA plants to create a healthy herbal
beverage. The Desa Energi Berdikari initiative serves as concrete proof that this program is opening new economic opportunities," said
Rudi, the Head of Sumengko Village.
Meanwhile, Jayanty Oktavia Maulina, Elnusa’s Corporate Communication Manager, stated, "In line with digitalization advancements,
Elnusa is committed to developing MSME empowerment programs toward digital transformation. This initiative aims to enhance the
marketing capacity of supported products through various digital platforms."
This program reaffirms the company’s commitment to supporting energy and economic independence in rural areas. Elnusa remains
dedicated to contributing to sustainable development efforts that bring a positive impact to the wider community.
