SMBC Indonesia Accelerates Meaningful Growth Nationwide Through Branch Transformation

Surabaya, February 5, 2025 – PT Bank SMBC Indonesia Tbk (SMBC Indonesia) has officially unveiled the
transformation of its Surabaya branch in East Java, reinforcing its commitment to providing integrated and
inclusive financial services to all customer segments across Indonesia.

This transformation marks the next step in SMBC Indonesia’s brand evolution, following its official rebranding
at the end of 2024.

Located on Jl. Diponegoro, the Surabaya branch is the first of six key branches undergoing a full-scale
transformation. Throughout February 2025, SMBC Indonesia will continue this rollout with branch
inaugurations in Makassar, South Sulawesi; Bandung, West Java; Semarang, Central Java; Yogyakarta, Special
Region of Yogyakarta; and Medan, North Sumatra. This transformation also introduces an enhanced branch
service concept.

Customers will also be able to access SMBC Indonesia's Jenius digital services at all flagship branch offices in
the six cities as a form of integration of digital and physical services at branch offices.

Once tailored to specific customer segments, SMBC Indonesia’s branches have now adopted a fully
integrated service model across the country to meet all customers’ needs. This transformation has been in
progress since 2023 as part of the bank’s broader brand evolution.

“This is not merely a physical transformation; it represents our philosophy of creating a more seamless and
integrated banking experience to better serve customers across various segments,” said Darmadi Sutanto,
Deputy President Director of SMBC Indonesia.

“The phased transformation of SMBC Indonesia’s branches reaffirms our commitment to offering agile
financial solutions that meet our customers’ evolving needs, wherever they may be,” Darmadi added.

Driving Sustainable Growth with the Strength of a Global Network

This transformation, exemplified by the inauguration of the newly transformed branch, further solidifies
SMBC Indonesia’s position as a bank that leverages global network access while maintaining a strong legacy
of local excellence.

SMBC Indonesia continues to provide comprehensive financial solutions tailored to diverse customer
segments. For retail clients, the bank offers financing services across various sectors, from micro, small, and
medium enterprises (MSMEs) to retail banking—covering retirees and affluent customers—and
corporations—ensuring optimal financial support.

Aligned with its sustainability commitment, SMBC Indonesia continues to enhance financing for eco-friendly
and socially impactful initiatives. In its latest collaboration, the bank extended a $10 million Multi-Option
Trade facility to PT Surya Utama Nuansa (SUN Energy) to facilitate operational expansion and the
development of solar energy projects in the commercial and industrial sectors.

“Our efforts extend to sustainability initiatives that foster economic growth, including in the MSME sector,
which is a major driver of Indonesia’s economy,” said Darmadi.

SMBC Indonesia is also strengthening its commitment to retirees by expanding its support to pre-retirement
segments and active employees planning for their future. This initiative underscores the bank’s dedication to
enabling retirees to achieve greater financial stability and meaningful personal growth.

With this transformation, SMBC Indonesia strives to bring positive change to customers across Indonesia,
from individuals to corporate clients. Beyond addressing financial needs, this initiative reinforces the bank’s
commitment to offering solutions that enable meaningful growth.
