IKAI 2024: A Year of Resilience, Continuing to Make Solid Steps
JAKARTA, December 30, 2024 - PT Intikeramik Alamasri Industri Tbk (Bloomberg: IKAI.IJ)
conducted a virtual Public Expose today, revealing its business achievements that continue
to grow despite the challenges.
IKAI has recorded consistent growth over the past five years, with a compound growth rate
(CAGR) of 18% from 2019 to 2024. This reflects the strength of its measured business
strategy and the company's success in capitalizing on synergies between its two main
business segments-premium ceramic and hospitality.
“We believe that the combination of the porcelain tiles manufacturing and hospitality
segments not only provides significant financial resilience for the company but also drives
strong growth and optimized margins,” said Yohas Raffli, President Director of IKAI.
The synergy between the two segments has proven to create strategic leverage, pushing
the company's average Gross Profit Margin (GPM) to 48%, well above the national ceramic
industry average of 38%. With the contribution of the porcelain tiles segment at 56% as the
main driver and hospitality at 44% as a margin balancer, IKAI has succeeded in creating a
solid and sustainable business portfolio.
MANUFACTURE PORCELAIN TILES SEGMENT - Product Innovation and Distribution
Channels
IKAI continued to strengthen its manufacturing segment with a focus on innovative
products and advanced technologies. The flagship product Smooth Grip Porcelain Tiles
product took center stage, registering a 185% one-year surge in sales, from 53,820 m² in
2023 to 153,195 m² in 2024. With no slip-resistance technology and premium nature-
inspired design, the product offers both safety and aesthetics, making it a top choice for
architects and developers.
In addition, IKAI continues to expand its distribution coverage, reaching 38 provinces in
Indonesia as well as planning international expansion to Japan and Australia. This move,
along with strategic cooperation with foreign partners, ensures the competitiveness of IKAI
products not only in the domestic market but also at the global level.

HOSPITALITY SEGMENT - Excellence Amidst Tight Competition
In the hospitality sector, the concept of “Hospitality Redefined” with a commitment to
creating the best stay experience that customers remember, managed to push the average
hotel occupancy rate to 82.3% (Jan-Nov 2024), far exceeding the average competitor of
74.4%. IKAI also solidified its position as the market leader with a Market Penetration Index
(MPI) of 110.7.
These advantages are supported by the hotel's strategic location, high standards of
cleanliness and comfort, and professional guest services, which continue to receive
positive reviews on various platforms. With a focus on the business and leisure market, IKAI
hotels are the top choice amidst the fierce competition in the hospitality industry.
STRATEGIC PLAN AHEAD
Entering 2025, IKAI has developed strategic steps to strengthen its competitive position
through focusing on three main pillars: manufacturing, hospitality, and property which are
part of an integrated transformation to create sustainable growth.
MANUFACTURING: Connecting Innovation, Efficiency, and Global Markets
IKAI capitalizes on global business dynamics by forging strategic collaborations with
international partners. Amidst anti-dumping regulations in China, India, and the European
Union, IKAI sees opportunities to strengthen production capacity and national
competitiveness. This collaboration is designed to make IKAI a major player in the global
porcelain tiles industry, supported by the Essenza brand and an extensive distribution
network.
The adoption of Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology is the main focus to improve
operational efficiency and reduce production costs. AI is applied in predictive maintenance
and supply chain management, enabling smoother operational flow and market
responsiveness. By expanding into domestic and international markets, IKAI not only
creates innovative solutions but also ensures the sustainability of industry
competitiveness.
“Strategic cooperation and technological innovation are at the core of our move to bring IKAI
manufacturing to a global level, with relevant and impactful solutions,” said Yohas.
HOSPITALITY: Light on assets, Personalized services, and Operational efficiency.
IKAI redefines the hospitality industry standard through its innovative light-on-asset
approach. Through Axis Hospitality Solution, IKAI offers hotel property restructuring, HR
training, and strategic marketing, creating positive cash flows that strengthen the value of
the properties under management. This approach not only improves profitability but also
ensures long-term operational sustainability. With a focus on personalizing the guest
experience, strategic locations, and high-quality services, IKAI has successfully made
hospitality one of its key growth pillars.

PROPERTY: Landbank Optimization for Investment Growth.
On the property pillar, IKAI intends to optimize the landbank assets to open up new
investment opportunities. This strategic realignment is designated to create added value
and promote sustainable growth.

to strengthen competitiveness today and build a solid foundation for the future. With
technological innovation, operational efficiency, and sustainability focus, IKAI is ready to
become a major player that creates sustainable value in the global market dynamics.”
