Berlari untuk Bumi: SMBC Indonesia's Commitment to Meaningful Impact In Supporting
                                 Sustainable Living.

Jakarta, December 10, 2024 – PT Bank SMBC Indonesia Tbk (SMBC Indonesia), through its Daya
program, reaffirmed its commitment to environmental preservation by organizing a charity run titled
Berlari untuk Bumi.

Around 1,500 SMBC Indonesia employees across seven cities—Jakarta, Bandung, Semarang,
Yogyakarta, Surabaya, Medan, and Makassar participated in this event—as part of the company's
effort to support Indonesia's net-zero emissions target. Participants collectively ran a total of 5,245
kilometers, equivalent to the distance from Sabang to Merauke.

For every 3.5 kilometers completed by the runners, SMBC Indonesia, in collaboration with Bakti
Lingkungan Djarum Foundation (BLDF) through the #OneActionOneTree initiative, provided one
mango seedling to be planted. As a result, the total running distance equates to 1,500 mango
seedlings, which will be planted in the Patiayam Hills areas, Kudus Regency, Central Java.

The symbolic tree planting ceremony took place on November 28, 2024, with several members of the
SMBC Indonesia board of directors in attendance.

Andrie Darusman, Communications and Daya Head of SMBC Indonesia stated that the Running for
the Earth event is part of SMBC Indonesia's commitment to supporting the Indonesian government's
net-zero emission targets, especially in maintaining ecosystem balance amid climate change.

"Through this event and other sustainable initiatives, we are optimistic about creating a positive
impact in supporting sustainable living. For this reason, SMBC Indonesia continues to encourage the
active role of all stakeholders to create a greener and more meaningful future for the generations to
come," Andrie added.

Previously, BLDF launched the #OneActionOneTree program in 2020, initiating tree planting in the
Patiayam Hills, a 250-hectare area on the slopes of Mount Muria. Together with the local community
in Gondoharum Village, Jekulo District, BLDF began planting 14,000 fruit tree seedlings, including
mango, sapodilla, avocado, pomelo, and petai.

Collaborative Efforts by SMBC Indonesia for a Sustainable Indonesia Society

As a sustainable and measurable empowerment program that has significantly changed millions of
people, Daya has consistently carried out social and environmental empowerment initiatives since
2011. From January to September 2024, the Daya program reached more than 8.75 million
beneficiaries through 7,659 activities, a 2.4-times increase from the previous numbers, compared to
the same period last year.

Through these achievements, SMBC Indonesia, through the Daya program, continues to collaborate
with various partners who share the same vision. For instance, the collaboration between SMBC
Indonesia and the Djarum Foundation since 2015 has led to various environmental conservation and
social empowerment initiatives.

This commitment includes developing infrastructure at vocational schools supported by the Djarum
Foundation, such as NU Ma'arif Kudus Vocational School, which received welding equipment

donations in 2017. Then, in 2024, SMBC Indonesia donated an additional Rp600 million for a powder
coating workshop facility used for practical learning at the school.

In the education sector, since early 2024, SMBC Indonesia has partnered with the Guru Belajar
Foundation (GBF) through the Creative Financial Literacy Teacher program, empowering educators to
enhance creativity in teaching by creating educational media and providing financial literacy training
for teachers. This educational initiative has reached over 1000 teachers as program participants from
960 schools in 29 provinces and 157 districts/cities across Indonesia.

SMBC Indonesia, together with partners like Djarum Foundation and GBF, places significant emphasis
on empowering educators as pillars of education and developing young talent through vocational
education. We believe that these activities and support, whether in the form of donations or
programs, can provide a sustainable positive impact for both society and the surrounding
environment," concluded Andrie.

                                                          ***
