AGENDA
THE NEEDS OF
GREENER FUTURE
Climate Change Threats
Rising global temperatures lead to extreme weather, polar ice melt, and rising sea levels. Shifting to green energy reduces
greenhouse gas emissions, combating climate change.
Worsening Air Pollution
Fossil fuel emissions contribute to poor air quality, impacting public health. Clean energy solutions can mitigate air pollution and
enhance living conditions.
Global Energy Crisis
Growing energy demand calls for sustainable, efficient solutions. Investing in green projects ensures stable energy supply without
harming the environment

MARKET
OPPORTUNITIES
The renewable energy sector in Indonesia is poised for rapid
expansion over the next decade. Driven by government policies and
international investment, the market is projected to grow at a
compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 8.4% through 2027, with
significant contributions from solar PV, battery storage, and power
generation.
By 2028, the sector is expected to reach a value of $4 billion, with the
country’s installed renewable capacity targeting 42 GW by 2029. This
growth is further supported by Indonesia’s commitment to achieving
a 31% renewable energy share by 2050, requiring cumulative
investments of up to $2.4 trillion by 2050 to meet its long-term
energy goals Source : ADB - Indonesia Energy Sector Assessment
Page 17
GREEN ENERGY PROJECT EXPANSION HPN’s Commitment to Green Energy HPN is actively developing hydropower (PLTA) projects, utilizing Indonesia’s vast water resources. Hydropower remains Indonesia's largest renewable energy source, with a total installed capacity of 6,688.9 MW at the end of 2022, making up 53.3% of the country’s renewable power capacity. Call to Action However, only 7% of Indonesia’s 95 GW hydropower potential has been tapped, presenting vast opportunities for expansion.

CARBON SOLUTIONS Transforming Emissions into Valuable Resources As part of its sustainability mission, HPN is introducing CO2 Purification technology to reduce emissions while generating economic value. With a capacity of 24,000 tons of CO2 annually and will keep expanding, HPN captures and purifies CO2 from industrial waste streams into food-grade quality. Call to Action This solution helps industries meet environmental standards and unlocks new revenue, especially in the food & beverage sector and enhanced oil recovery (EOR), where CO2 can improve oil production by up to 20%. As demand rises for sustainable solutions, the CO2 purification industry is set to expand with a 5.28% CAGR until 2035, particularly in sectors like food and energy
Page 19
CARBON & FLUOROCARBON SOLUTIONS Innovative Carbon Offset Solutions The carbon offset industry has increasingly focused on innovative solutions that address emissions from various sources, including the refrigeration sector. Refrigerants, commonly used in cooling systems, have significant potential to release harmful greenhouse gases if not managed properly. By implementing robust recycling and purification processes, businesses can reduce the environmental impact of Call to Action refrigerants and contribute to global carbon reduction goals. Carbon offset programs in this field involve reclaiming and purifying used refrigerants, converting them back to usable forms, and preventing their harmful disposal. This process not only minimizes emissions but also supports a circular economy, ensuring that fewer raw materials are consumed and waste is minimized. Such initiatives are essential in promoting responsible practices and reducing the carbon footprint associated with refrigerant use.
