ESSA’s Robust 9M24 Performance Driven by Enhanced Productivity
and Cost Discipline
Jakarta, 21 October 2024 – PT ESSA Industries Indonesia Tbk. (“ESSA”), a publicly listed company
engaged in the Energy and Chemical sectors through its LPG (Liquefied Petroleum Gas) refinery and
Ammonia plant reported 9M24 revenue of USD 230 million, a marginal decrease of 1% YoY. However,
EBITDA increased by 47% YoY to USD 97 million in the first nine months of 2024. Despite a 9% YOY
decrease in Ammonia prices to USD 345/MT in first nine months of 2024, higher production volumes
as well as lower costs contributed to the increase in EBITDA.

ESSA continues to maintain the highest standards of plant safety and reliability. The ammonia plant
completed 8 million cumulative manhours without Loss Time Injury, while the LPG plant reached a
milestone of five years of continuous operation without a trip. With the successful completion of nearly
two-week maintenance in 2Q24, the ammonia plant is now operating at optimal productivity and
efficiency with enhanced reliability.
Ammonia prices showed an upward trend throughout the third quarter and ESSA expects fourth quarter
price to be better than the third quarter price. Meanwhile, LPG prices have remained above seasonal
lows due to the extension of OPEC+ voluntary oil production cuts. With the seasonal winter demand,
fourth quarter LPG price is expected to be higher than the third quarter price.

Catatan Kinerja 9M24 ESSA yang Solid Didorong oleh Peningkatan
Produktivitas dan Pengendalian Biaya
Jakarta, 21 Oktober 2024 – PT ESSA Industries Indonesia Tbk. (“ESSA”), perusahaan tercatat yang
bergerak di sektor Energi dan Kimia melalui kilang LPG (Liquefied Petroleum Gas) dan pabrik Amoniak
perusahaan terbuka yang bergerak di sektor Energi dan Kimia melalui kilang LPG (Liquefied Petroleum
Gas) dan pabrik amoniak mencatatkan pendapatan 9M24 sebesar USD 230 juta, tercatat sedikit
penurunan sebesar 1% YoY. Namun, EBITDA tercatat meningkat sebesar 47% YoY menjadi USD 97 juta
pada 9M24. Meskipun terjadi penurunan harga Amoniak sebesar 9% YoY menjadi USD 345/MT pada
9M24, namun peningkatan volume produksi dan pengedalian biaya yang baik berhasil mendorong
peningkatan EBITDA.

ESSA senantiasa mempertahankan standar terbaik pada aspek keselamatan dan keandalan seluruh
pabriknya. Sejalan dengan hal tersebut, pabrik amoniak berhasil mencatatkan 8 juta jam kerja kumulatif
tanpa Loss Time Injury, sementara kilang LPG berhasil mencapai tonggak sejarah dengan mencatatkan
lima tahun beroperasi secara terus menerus tanpa trip. Kegiatan pemeliharaan pabrik amoniak selama
hampir dua minggu pada 2Q24, berhasil mendorong produktivitas dan efisiensi optimal, seiring dengan
keandalan operasional yang lebih baik.
Sementara itu, harga amoniak menunjukkan tren kenaikan sepanjang kuartal ketiga 2024 dan ESSA
memproyeksikan harga amoniak pada kuartal keempat 2024 akan berada di level yang lebih baik. Selain
itu, harga LPG tetap berada di atas harga pada periode terendah musiman yang disebabkan oleh
perpanjangan pemangkasan produksi minyak secara sukarela oleh negara - negara anggota OPEC+.
Dengan adanya seasonal winter demand, harga LPG kuartal keempat 2024 juga diproyeksikan akan
lebih tinggi apabila dibandingkan dengan harga pada kuartal ketiga 2024.
