Uraian Informasi atau Fakta Material Jakarta, 28 Agustus 2024 - PT Elnusa Tbk (ELNUSA, IDX:
ELSA) Anak Usaha PT Pertamina Hulu Energi (PHE) yang
tergabung dalam Subholding Upstream Pertamina, terus
mengembangkan inovasi dari produk dan jasa yang
ditawarkan untuk menjangkau market yang lebih luas. Setelah
sukses dengan inovasi semen Slurry Merah Putih sebelumnya,
versi terbaru dari formulasi khusus untuk cementing job yang
didesain untuk dapat menutup atau memblok zona shallow
gas dan mengontrol tekanan sumur ini kini hadir lagi dengan
lebih banyak keunggulan harga lebih ekonomis dengan
performa teknis lebih bagus diantaranya: compressive strength
(kemampuan menahan tekanan) lebih tinggi, slurry lebih
mudah dipompakan kedalam sumur.
Dalam kegiatan pengeboran sumur migas, setelah sumur
dilakukan pengeboran maka akan dipasang casing/selubung.
Tantangannya, casing tersebut pada dasarnya tidak ada
ikatan dengan formasi atau batuan di belakangnya. Kondisi ini
berpotensi membuat casing rawan terangkat oleh
tekanan/aliran hydrocarbon ataupun fluida dari dalam formasi,
karena itu casing perlu disemen dengan semen slurry yang
sesuai untuk menutup aliran yang berpotensi membahayakan
tersebut.
Sejak tahun 2019, Elnusa telah melakukan pengembangan
Slurry Merah Putih yang merupakan inovasi semen slurry
karya anak bangsa. Bermula dari permasalahan yang ditemui
salah satu klien Elnusa yaitu Pertamina Hulu Mahakam (PHM)
di Wilayah Kerja (WK) Mahakam. Diketahui, batuan di
Kalimantan mayoritas adalah sandstone serta batu bara yang
ternyata juga mengandung gas. Sehingga saat dilakukan
pengeboran pada kedalaman yang masih dangkal atau
shallow gas zone sekitar 100-200 feet, terdapat potensi hazard
akibat tekanan gas yang kuat. Dalam kondisi tersebut tim
Elnusa memberikan Total Solution dengan melakukan riset
dan akhirnya mendapatkan formulasi Slurry Merah Putih yang
bisa mengatasi masalah shallow gas zone ini.
Direktur Utama Elnusa Bachtiar Soeria Atmadja,
mengungkapkan inovasi pertama dari Slurry Merah Putih
Elnusa telah diterapkan pada 8 sumur di lapangan Tunu, Blok
Mahakam. "Semen Slurry Merah Putih ini sudah memberikan
value added yang luar biasa bagi PHM. Pertama, dari sisi
safety bisa terjaga dari efek shallow gas zone yang bisa
berbahaya. Kedua, dari sisi biaya, juga bisa reduce cost untuk
biaya cementing-nya yang lebih murah dari produk lain di
pasaran. Yang ketiga, ini adalah karya anak bangsa, original
produk Elnusa dengan memanfaatkan material-material yang
mayoritas produk lokal juga," ungkap Bachtiar.
Sukses dengan inovasi awal, Elnusa kemudian
mengembangkan ramuan Slurry Merah Putih 2.0 yang saat ini
juga telah dimanfaaatkan pada 8 sumur di WK Mahakam, dan
masih akan terus bertambah. "Slurry Merah Putih versi 2.0
memiliki harga yang lebih ekonomis 15-20 persen
dibandingkan dengan versi sebelumnya. Untuk spesifikasi
teknisnya pun lebih unggul dari versi sebelumnya dengan
memiliki rata-rata compressive strength lebih tinggi untuk 24
jam pertama dan memiliki rheology yang lebih rendah
sehingga mengurangi friction pressure dan surface pressure,
serta medapatkan stabilitas di rheology yang lebih rendah,"
terang Bachtiar.

Pemanfaatan semen Slurry Merah Putih juga cocok diterapkan untuk membantu meningkatkan produksi migas. Seperti diketahui, banyak lapangan migas saat ini yang sudah mature dan produksinya cenderung depleted atau menurun. Sehingga perusahaan migas pun mulai mengebor sumur di zona dangkal yang sebelumnya jarang disentuh karena kondisi tanahnya terdapat batu bara, berpasir, serta ada potensi hazard-nya. "Berkat inovasi Slurry Merah Putih ini pengeboran tetap aman dilakukan dengan spesifikasi teknis yang lebih tinggi, namun tetap ekonomis," tutur Bachtiar. Berkat inovasi semen Slurry Merah Putih ini, Elnusa telah menuai sejumlah apresiasi dari berbagai pihak. Beberapa di antaranya adalah penghargaan Dharma Karya Muda dari Kementerian Energi dan Sumber Daya Mineral (2022), Platinum Award dari Upstream Innovation & Improvement Award (UIIA) Subholding Upstream Pertamina, Platinum Award dari Annual Pertamina Quality (APQ) Awards, hingga Silver Medal dan penghargaan CIA AWARD-Invention & Innovation dari China Association of Inventions (CIA) di ajang inovasi Istanbul International Invention Fair (ISIF) 2023 di Turkiye. Dengan terus berinovasi, unit bisnis cementing Elnusa kini berhasil mendapatkan pekerjaan di area kerja lainnya di lingkungan Pertamina. Selain digunakan PHM di WK Mahakam, Slurry Merah Putih ini juga akan digunakan oleh Pertamina Hulu Sanga-Sanga (PHSS) di WK Sanga-Sanga. Kondisi shallow gas zone sebenarnya tidak hanya di wilayah Kalimantan sehingga teknologi Slurry Merah Putih ini bisa juga diaplikasikan di berbagai wilayah lain di Indonesia. Elnusa yang saat ini memiliki sekitar 6-7 cementing unit juga tengah melakukan proses pembelian 2 cementing unit tambahan. Selanjutnya, akan ada lagi sekitar 14 cementing unit lagi, sehingga pada tahun 2025 nanti unit bisnis cementing Elnusa bisa berkembang hingga 2-3 kali lipat dari sekarang. "Lewat Slurry Merah Putih ini, Elnusa telah membuktikan bahwa karya anak bangsa tidak kalah serta mampu bersaing dengan produk dari perusahaan internasional. Kami berharap inovasi ini dapat membantu meningkatkan produksi migas klien sekaligus memberikan sumbangsih terhadap pencapaian produksi migas nasional," tutup Bachtiar. Description of Material Information or Jakarta, 28 August 2024 - PT Elnusa Tbk (ELNUSA, IDX:
Facts ELSA) a subsidiary of PT Pertamina Hulu Energi (PHE) which
is part of the Pertamina Upstream Subholding, continues to
develop innovations in the products and services offered to
reach a wider market. After the success of the previous Red
and White Slurry cement innovation, the latest version of the
special formulation for cementing jobs designed to be able to
close or block shallow gas zones and control well pressure is
now available again with more advantages, more economical
prices with better technical performance, including: higher
compressive strength (ability to withstand pressure), slurry is
easier to pump into the well.
In oil and gas well drilling activities, after the well is drilled, a
casing/sheath will be installed. The challenge is that the casing
basically has no connection to the formation or rock behind it.
This condition has the potential to make the casing vulnerable
to being lifted by pressure/flow of hydrocarbons or fluids from
within the formation, therefore the casing needs to be
cemented with the appropriate slurry cement to close the
potentially dangerous flow.
Since 2019, Elnusa has been developing Slurry Merah Putih,
an innovation of slurry cement created by the nation's children.
It started from a problem encountered by one of Elnusa's
clients, namely Pertamina Hulu Mahakam (PHM) in the
Mahakam Working Area (WK). It is known that the rocks in
Kalimantan are mostly sandstone and coal which also contain
gas. So when drilling is carried out at a depth that is still
shallow or shallow gas zone around 100-200 feet, there is a
potential hazard due to strong gas pressure. In these
conditions, the Elnusa team provided a Total Solution by
conducting research and finally getting the Slurry Merah Putih
formulation that could overcome this shallow gas zone
problem.
Elnusa President Director Bachtiar Soeria Atmadja, revealed
that the first innovation of Elnusa's Slurry Merah Putih has
been applied to 8 wells in the Tunu field, Mahakam Block.
"This Slurry Merah Putih cement has provided extraordinary
added value for PHM. First, in terms of safety, it can be
protected from the effects of the shallow gas zone which can
be dangerous. Second, in terms of cost, it can also reduce the
cost of cementing which is cheaper than other products on the
market. Third, this is the work of the nation's children, an
original Elnusa product by utilizing materials that are mostly
local products," said Bachtiar.
Successful with the initial innovation, Elnusa then developed
the Slurry Merah Putih 2.0 concoction which is currently also
being utilized in 8 wells in the Mahakam WK, and will continue
to grow. "Slurry Merah Putih version 2.0 has a price that is 15-
20 percent more economical compared to the previous
version. For its technical specifications, it is also superior to the
previous version by having a higher average compressive
strength for the first 24 hours and has lower rheology so as to
reduce friction pressure and surface pressure, and obtain
stability in lower rheology," explained Bachtiar.
The use of Slurry Merah Putih cement is also suitable to help
increase oil and gas production. As is known, many oil and gas
fields are currently mature and their production tends to be
depleted or decreasing. So that oil and gas companies have

started drilling wells in shallow zones that were previously rarely touched because the soil conditions contain coal, sand, and there is potential for hazards. "Thanks to the Red and White Slurry innovation, drilling remains safe to do with higher technical specifications, but remains economical," said Bachtiar. Thanks to the Red and White Slurry cement innovation, Elnusa has received a number of appreciations from various parties. Some of them are the Dharma Karya Muda award from the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (2022), the Platinum Award from the Upstream Innovation & Improvement Award (UIIA) Subholding Upstream Pertamina, the Platinum Award from the Annual Pertamina Quality (APQ) Awards, to the Silver Medal and CIA AWARD-Invention & Innovation award from the China Association of Inventions (CIA) at the Istanbul International Invention Fair (ISIF) 2023 innovation event in Turkey. By continuing to innovate, Elnusa's cementing business unit has now succeeded in getting work in other work areas within Pertamina. In addition to being used by PHM in the Mahakam Working Area, the Red and White Slurry will also be used by Pertamina Hulu Sanga-Sanga (PHSS) in the Sanga-Sanga Working Area. The shallow gas zone conditions are actually not only in the Kalimantan region, so the Red and White Slurry technology can also be applied in various other regions in Indonesia. Elnusa, which currently has around 6-7 cementing units, is also in the process of purchasing 2 additional cementing units. Furthermore, there will be around 14 more cementing units, so that in 2025, Elnusa's cementing business unit can grow 2-3 times from now. "Through this Red and White Slurry, Elnusa has proven that the work of the nation's children is not inferior and is able to compete with products from international companies. We hope that this innovation can help increase clients' oil and gas production while contributing to the achievement of national oil and gas production," concluded Bachtiar.
