Chandra Asri Group Opens CPN’s Public Terminal Access, Supported by
Three Jetties with Capacity of Up to 80,000 DWT
Jakarta, September 1, 2026 – The port infrastructure of PT Chandra Pelabuhan Nusantara
(CPN) is now open to support external logistics needs. The subsidiary of PT Chandra Asri Pacific
Tbk (Chandra Asri Group) has officially obtained a Business License for the Operation of a
Public Terminal from the Directorate General of Sea Transportation, Ministry of
Transportation of the Republic of Indonesia, enabling CPN to expand the utilization of its
facilities, including three jetties with a capacity of up to 80,000 DWT, to support industrial
supply chains in Cilegon and surrounding areas.
The issuance of this license marks an important development for CPN in expanding its role, from
a facility supporting Chandra Asri Group’s operational needs to logistics infrastructure that can
serve the needs of industrial players and external service users in accordance with applicable
regulations. With this license, CPN further strengthens its role in the industrial logistics and port
ecosystem.
Director of PT Chandra Pelabuhan Nusantara, Edi Riva’i, said, “The issuance of the Business
License for the Operation of a Public Terminal marks an important transformation for CPN. The
infrastructure that has primarily supported Chandra Asri Group’s operational needs can now be
utilized by industrial players and external service users in accordance with applicable regulations.
With its strategic location in Cilegon, three jetties with varying capacities, as well as integrated
storage and liquid product handling facilities, CPN has the capability to reliably, safely, and
efficiently support industrial logistics needs. We view the opening of access as a strategic step to
expand CPN’s role in the logistics and port ecosystem while providing added value to connectivity
and the competitiveness of national industries.”
CPN operates three jetties with varying capacities, namely Jetty A with a maximum capacity of
80,000 DWT, Jetty B with a capacity of up to 6,000 DWT, and Jetty C with a capacity of up
to 10,000 DWT. This variation in capacity provides flexibility in supporting various vessel
requirements and logistics activities.
In addition to vessel berthing and mooring facilities, CPN also facilitates the loading and unloading
of various liquid chemical and refined petroleum products. The products that can be handled
include naphtha, LPG, propylene, ethylene, py-gas, raffinate-1, butadiene, and PFO. These

capabilities support industrial logistics needs, particularly in the petrochemical, chemical, and
related sectors.
In addition to its jetties, CPN is also supported by storage facilities in the form of a tank farm
consisting of 56 tanks with a combined capacity of 501,606 m³. The facility includes 25
atmospheric tanks for liquid chemical products, such as naphtha, MTBE, and methanol, as well
as 31 pressurized tanks for liquefied gas products, such as ethylene, propylene, butadiene, and
butene-1.
The combination of jetty, loading and unloading, and tank farm facilities provides CPN with
flexibility in supporting the industrial supply chain, from the receipt of raw materials and storage
to the distribution of products by sea.
CPN’s location in Cilegon, Banten, also provides strategic access to shipping through the Sunda
Strait, which is connected to domestic, regional, and international shipping routes. This position
enables CPN to support the movement of industrial raw materials and products while
strengthening supply chain connectivity.
With access now open to external service users, CPN has the opportunity to establish broader
cooperation with industrial players that require port and logistics solutions for liquid products and
industrial raw materials.
