Jakarta, March 27, 2024 - PT Amman Mineral Internasional Tbk (IDX: AMMN) ("AMMAN": the
"Company": or "We”), a company that operates the second largest copper and gold mine in
Indonesia, the Batu Hijau mine, today announced its full-year 2023 financial and operational results.
“In 2023, we faced and overcame a series of challenges, such as inclement weather conditions,
adverse regulatory shifts, and rising compliance costs. Our resilience led to a record-breaking year
at Batu Hijau, with mining output reaching unprecedented levels. We exceeded our pre-IPO
projections for copper and gold production by 1446 and 24X, respectively, although we fell short of
our post-IPO guidance by 796 for copper and 8X for gold. Our expansion projects, including the
smelter and PMR, advanced on schedule and even surpassed our year-end goals. A pivotal moment
for AMMAN was our successful listing on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (“IDX”) on July 7, 2023. Our
dedication to innovation and excellence remains unwavering as we strive to surpass expectations and
set new standards for the industry,” said Alexander Ramlie, President Director of AMMAN.
“The last guarter of 2023 was our strongest performing period, where the guarter-on-guarter growth
of our net sales and EBITDA was at 5596 and 6046, respectively. However, the record-breaking rainfall
in the first few months of 2023 led to extremely high water levels at the pit bottom, forcing us to
produce concentrate from stockpiles for the first seven months of 2023, which has a lower grade
than fresh ore. This extreme weather negatively impacted our net income significantly. Furthermore,
our net income in 2023 was also heavily affected by the new 1096 export duty and 10X profit-sharing
obligation (“IUPK PNBP”). It was a strenuous year, but we made significant progress in the fourth

Production In 2023, AMMAN achieved a landmark year in mining operations, with material output reaching its highest levels since the commencement of operations of Batu Hijau in 2000. The extraordinary capabilities of our mining team were on display in October when we surpassed all historical monthly production volumes ever recorded in Batu Hijau. This momentum carried into the fourth guarter, where we delivered approximately 198,000 dmt of copper concentrate, constituting 36X of the fiscal year's total volume produced. In addition to operational efficiencies, reduced diesel prices led to a 246 reduction in unit mining costs year-on-year, from US$2.28/ton to US$2.23/ton. However, the year was not without its adversities. We had to navigate harsh weather conditions and operational complexities resulting from record-breaking rainfall, which curtailed our production. Notwithstanding our mining team's ability to rapidly dewater the pit, the first seven months witnessed significant mud accumulation due to sustained, high levels of pit water, which impacted the grade, volume, and stability of the ore delivered to the processing plant. Another challenge was the government's delay in issuing import permits for critical haul truck tires, resulting in unplanned operational downtime from December to January. 012023 02 2023 @3 2023 04 2023 Concentrate production (dmt) 139,360 94,258 10,623 197,652 Copper production (Mlbs) 80 53 66 13 Gold production (Koz) 124 47 88 204 PT AMMAN MINERAL INTERNASIONAL TBK 2 MENARA KARYA 6TH LEVEL, JALAN H.R. Net sales In 2023, net sales decreased by 28X when compared to 2022, mainly due to the unprecedented rainfall (Oct 2022 - Apr 2023), which forced us to process low-grade ore from stockpiles, resulting in lower copper (3396) and gold (3596) sales volumes, offset by a 6X and 124 increase in the average selling prices of copper and gold, respectively. However, A4 2023 sales were the strongest during 2023, with an increase of 5596 compared to A3 2023. EBITDA AMMAN reported EBITDA of US$1,019 million in 2023, representing a 414 decrease from US$1,734 million in 2022. Lower net sales, higher export duty, and government royalties for gold primarily drove this year-on-year decrease. However, 04 2023 was the strongest guarter in terms of production and financial performance. 44 2023 EBITDA increased by 6026 when compared to 43 2023. Net income AMMAN reported a net income of US$465 million in 2023, with a margin of 2396. However, when considering the impact of the 1096 profit-sharing obligation, the net income is US$259 million, with a margin of 134. Several factors significantly affected our FY2023 net income, including: (1) Operations » The decrease in sales led to lower profitability. # Higher depreciation and amortization. (2) Regulatory environment e Increase export duty to 104 (compared to 0X under the previous regulations). # Profit sharing obligation (IUPK PNBP) - 1096 of AMNT's total profit after corporate income tax based on the annual audited financial statement. Adjusted C1 Cost C1Cash Costis a metric representing the costs of extracting and processing the Company's principal metal product, copper, toa condition in which it may be delivered to customers net of gold and silver credits from concentrate sold. Our adjusted C1 Cost in FY2023 was US$(0.73) per Ib slightly better than US$(0.70) per Ib in FY2022, given the improved contribution of gold as a by-product credit. Capex AMMAN's total capital expenditure in FY2023 was US$1,520 million, up 11846 compared to FY2022. The increase is mainly due to the expansion projects, with a breakdown as follows: sustaining capex of US$415 million: smelter capex of US$386 million: combined cycle power plant (“CCPP”), liguefied natural gas (“LNG”), and transmission and distribution (“T&D”) facilities of US$158 million: and processing plant expansion of US$561 million. AMMAN is obliged to achieve mechanical completion of the copper smelter and PMR construction by the end of May 2024. We will provide additional information to the MSCI ratings team toaddress our ESG rating. Company Outlook In 2024, we expect to produce 833,000 dmt of concentrate, which we forecast to contain 456 Mlbs of copper, and slightly over 1 million oz of gold. This production target is driven by the high-grade fresh ore from Phase 7 that will be mined and processed. The focus should be on the volume of payable metals (in the form of copper and gold) rather than the volume of concentrate, as revenues are driven by the metal content of concentrate, not the volume of concentrate. Additional Information
Our Phase 7 ore mining at the Batu Hijau mine is underway and will continue through 2024.
Concurrently, Phase 8 waste removal is progressing as planned and will commence Phase 8 ore
mining in 2025 through 2030. Based on a series of ore reserves statements prepared by an
independent mining consultant with drilling and resource modeling in 2020, Phase 8 is expected to
produce 458 Mt of ore amounting to 3.86 Blbs of copper and 5.30 Moz of gold, effectively extending
the mine life for six years. We are committed to employing advanced technigues and reconfiguring
mining seguences to enhance productivity and efficiency.
The Elang Deposit is one of the world's largest undeveloped porphyry copper and gold deposits near
the Batu Hijau mine. Once Phase 8 ore mining is completed, AMMAN intends to commence
production at the Elang mine. The Elang mine will utilize the existing processing infrastructure at Batu
Hijau throughout its mine life. The ongoing Definitive Feasibility Study for Elang is expected to be
completed in 2024.
Expansion Projects
We are expanding our processing plant to increase capacity to 85 million tonnes per annum ("Mtpa"),
more than double our current capacity. This will enable us to process ore supply from Batu Hijau's
Phase 8 and Elang in the future, which is necessary to meet the growing demand for our products. At
the same time, we are constructing a 450 MW CCPP and its supporting LNG facilities. We remain
committed to minimizing our impact on the environment.
Smelter Construction
AMMAN is currently constructing copper smelter and PMR facilities with an aggregate input capacity
of 900,000 metric tons per annum (“tpa") of concentrate from the Batu Hijau mine and the future
Elang mine. The copper smelter will produce up to 222 kilotonnes per annum (“Ktpa”) of copper
cathode and 830 Ktpaof sulfuric acid. Meanwhile, the PMR facility will receive 970 tpa anode slime
input from the smelter. The PMR facility will produce 18 tpa of gold bars, 55 tpa of silver bars, and 70
tpa of selenium. As of December 2023, our smelter and PMR projects have reached 76.16 and 72.746!
of targetcompletions, respectively, with mechanical completion expected in May 2024. The
construction of the smelter project is in line with Indonesia's strategic focus on downstream
activities.
Export Permit
On July 24, 2023, AMMAN received an export permit granted by Indonesia's Ministry of Trade to
export concentrate. The permit for 900,000 wet metric tons of concentrate is valid from July 24,
2023, to May 31, 2024. In accordance with Peraturan Menteri Keuangan No. 71/2023, we expect to
pay export duty at a rate of 1096 until May 31, 2024. We will continue to communicate with the
Government to increase our export license tonnage (as deemed necessary) and continue concentrate
exports until our smelter is fully operational.
