Subject: BEXI-Request for Information Regarding News in Mass Media


Dear Sir/Madam,

Referring to your email dated March 18, 2024, regarding the above-mentioned subject, please
be advised the following:
1. The Minister of Finance of the Republic of Indonesia in a joint press conference with the
   Attorney General on March 18, 2024, stated that the Ministry of Finance continues to
   support the implementation of Good Corporate Governance in Lembaga Pembiayaan
   Ekspor Indonesia as a key requirement in carrying out the Institution's mission of
   developing the national exports.
2. As one of the initiatives to manage LPEI's non-performing assets, an Integrated Team
   consisting of LPEI, the Deputy Attorney General for Civil Administration (JAMDATUN), the
   Inspectorate General of the Ministry of Finance, and the Financial and Development
   Supervisory Agency (BPKP) has been formed. The team had conducted an assessment
   on LPEI’s non performing loan, and reported an indicative of fraud by some of LPEI’s
   debtors.
3. The report was then submitted by the Minister of Finance to the Attorney General to further
   proceed to the necessary legal action.
4. LPEI respects the ongoing legal process, complies with the applicable laws and regulations,
   and is committed to cooperating with the Attorney General's Office, BPKP, and other law
   enforcement officials in resolving its non-performing loan.
5. LPEI appreciates the support and trust given by the Ministry of Finance and is committed
   to always implementing a Good Corporate Governance, upholding integrity and zero
   tolerance for all legal violations, in carrying out the mandate of Law Number 2 of 2009.
