Uraian Informasi atau Fakta Material Jakarta, 15 November 2023 - Implementasi praktik
Environment, Social and Governance (ESG) yang dijalankan
PT Pertamina Geothermal Energy Tbk (PGE) (IDX: PGEO)
dinilai telah memberikan nilai manfaat nyata. Apresiasi
tersebut diberikan dalam bentuk skor 8.4 yang
mengindikasikan kategori negligible risk dari lembaga ESG
rating global Sustainalytics pada Selasa (14/11). Kategori yang
didapatkan PGE ini mengindikasikan Perseroan berhasil
mengeliminasi risiko ESG sepenuhnya.
Capaian luar biasa ini menjadikan Perseroan sebagai
perusahaan utilitas yang menduduki peringkat tertinggi dalam
skor ESG di Indonesia dan ketiga di tingkat global.
Penilaian ESG dari Sustainalytics ini menjadi penilaian ESG
perdana bagi Perseroan setelah menjadi perusahaan publik
dengan mempertimbangkan aspek lingkungan (environment),
sosial (social), tata kelola (governance), dan tata kelola
perusahaan (corporate governance).
Direktur Utama PT Pertamina Geothermal Energy Tbk, Julfi
Hadi, mengaku sangat bangga atas penghargaan dari
lembaga global ini. Namun dia mengingatkan raihan positif ini
menjadi tanggungjawab yang harus terus dijaga dan
ditingkatkan.
"Peringkat ini mencerminkan keunggulan Perseroan dalam
menerapkan praktik ESG. Adanya penghargaan ini
menunjukkan bahwa PGE telah mengintegrasikan
keberlanjutan ke dalam operasi bisnis. Sekali lagi kami
ucapkan terima kasih," kata Julfi.
Sebagai informasi, Sustainalytics merupakan lembaga ESG
rating global yang melakukan penilaian atas eksposur risiko
ESG dari perusahaan yang melakukan kegiatan operasi dan
bisnis dalam industri tertentu.
Dalam melakukan pengukuran dan penilaian ESG rating,
Sustainalytics mengukur eksposur perusahaan terhadap risiko
ESG material pada industri spesifik dan seberapa baik
perusahaan mengelola risiko tersebut.
Julfi menjelaskan keseriusan PGE dalam aspek ESG salah
satunya sudah diimplementasikan di area Lahendong,
Sulawesi Utara. Pada area ini, kata dia, PGE membangun
Sistem Ekonomi Sirkular Mapalus Tumompaso. Program ini
telah mengedukasi lebih dari 1.400 warga setempat melalui
program Usaha Desa Wisata (SADEWI), Kelompok Usaha
Bersama Mandiri dan Berdaya Maria (KUBEMADA), Usaha
Ternak dengan Energi Terbarukan, dan Bank Sampah Setor
Jo.
"Sistem Ekonomi Sirkular Mapalus Tumompaso juga telah
memberdayakan masyarakat untuk mendapatkan pekerjaan
sampingan dan meningkatkan perekonomian daerah,"
katanya.
Lebih lanjut Julfi mengatakan praktik ESG lainnya juga sudah
diterapkan melalui program Kamojang Green Living
Ecosystem (KANG ELIE) di area Kamojang, Jawa Barat.
Program ini, kata Julfi, merupakan inovasi ekosistem
pemberdayaan masyarakat berwawasan lingkungan dengan

tiga value utama yaitu green lifestyle, sustainability, dan
resilience.
"KANG ELIE telah berhasil meraih penghargaan Gold
Champion untuk kategori Economy Element dalam ajang
Bisnis Indonesia Social Responsibility Awards (BISRA) 2023,"
tuturnya.
Semua program ESG yang telah dijalankan tersebut, kata
Julfi, menjadi dedikasi dari PGE untuk memajukan agenda
keberlanjutan, dengan inisiatif yang sedang berjalan dan yang
akan datang. "Semuanya bertujuan untuk lebih meningkatkan
kinerja ESG dan memberikan nilai manfaat bagi lingkungan
dan masyarakat sekitar," ujarnya.

Description of Material Information or Jakarta, November 15, 2023 - The implementation of
Facts Environment, Social and Governance (ESG) practices carried
out by PT Pertamina Geothermal Energy Tbk (PGE) (IDX:
PGEO) is considered to have provided real value benefits. The
appreciation was given in the form of a score of 8.4 which
indicates a negligible risk category from the global ESG rating
agency Sustainalytics on Tuesday (14/11). The category
obtained by PGE indicates that the Company has successfully
eliminated ESG risks completely.
This remarkable achievement makes the Company the highest
ranked utility company in ESG score in Indonesia and third
globally.
This ESG assessment from Sustainalytics is the first ESG
assessment for the Company after becoming a public
company by considering environmental, social, governance,
and corporate governance aspects.
President Director of PT Pertamina Geothermal Energy Tbk,
Julfi Hadi, said he was very proud of the award from this global
institution. However, he reminded that this positive
achievement is a responsibility that must be maintained and
improved.
"This rating reflects the Company's excellence in implementing
ESG practices. This award shows that PGE has integrated
sustainability into business operations. Thank you again," Julfi
said.
For information, Sustainalytics is a global ESG rating agency
that assesses the ESG risk exposure of companies conducting
operations and business activities in certain industries.
In conducting the ESG rating measurement and assessment,
Sustainalytics measures a company's exposure to material
ESG risks in a specific industry and how well the company
manages those risks.
Julfi explained that PGE's seriousness in the ESG aspect has
been implemented in the Lahendong area, North Sulawesi. In
this area, he said, PGE built the Mapalus Tumompaso Circular
Economic System. This program has educated more than
1,400 local residents through the Tourism Village Business
(SADEWI) program, Independent and Empowered Joint
Business Group (KUBEMADA), Livestock Business with
Renewable Energy, and Setor Jo Waste Bank.
"The Mapalus Tumompaso Circular Economy System has also
empowered people to get side jobs and improve the regional
economy," he said.
Furthermore, Julfi said that other ESG practices have also
been implemented through the Kamojang Green Living
Ecosystem (KANG ELIE) program in the Kamojang area, West
Java.
This program, said Julfi, is an innovative ecosystem for
environmentally friendly community empowerment with three
main values, namely green lifestyle, sustainability, and
resilience.
"KANG ELIE has won the Gold Champion award for the

Social Responsibility Awards (BISRA)," he said.
All of these ESG programs, Julfi said, are PGE's dedication to
advancing the sustainability agenda, with ongoing and future
initiatives. "Everything aims to further improve ESG
performance and provide value benefits to the environment
and surrounding communities," he said.
