Uraian Informasi atau Fakta Material Jakarta, 3 Oktober 2023 - Konsorsium Chevron New Energies
melalui PT Jasa Daya Chevron (Chevron) dan PT Pertamina
Geothermal Energy Tbk (PGE) (IDX: PGEO) menandatangani
beberapa perjanjian di Hotel Park Hyatt, Jakarta yang akan
menjadi dasar dari pembentukan badan usaha lokal yang baru
dan penempatan dana komitmen eksplorasi pada rekening
bersama. Badan usaha baru tersebut akan secara resmi
menjadi pemegang Izin Panas Bumi (IPB) atas wilayah kerja
dan akan melakukan berbagai kegiatan pada tahap eksplorasi,
yang termasuk di antaranya berbagai pekerjaan survei dan
pemboran eksplorasi.
Penandatanganan perjanjian-perjanjian tersebut dilakukan
menyusul keputusan Menteri Energi dan Sumber Daya Mineral
yang dikeluarkan pada 12 Juni 2023 terkait penetapan
konsorsium PGE dan Chevron selaku pemenang lelang
Wilayah Kerja Panas Bumi (WKP) di daerah Way Ratai,
Provinsi Lampung.
Direktur Utama PT Pertamina Geothermal Energy Tbk (PGE)
Julfi Hadi menyampaikan "konsorsium ini telah bekerja sama
dengan Direktorat Jenderal Energi Baru Terbarukan dan
Konservasi Energi (EBTKE) Kementerian Energi dan Sumber
Daya Mineral (ESDM) dalam beberapa bulan terakhir untuk
membangun landasan hukum yang kuat dan kerangka kerja
komersial yang dapat diterima oleh pihak-pihak dalam
konsorsium dan pemerintah Indonesia, serta juga sejalan
dengan peraturan-peraturan terkait."
Chevron Indonesia Country Manager Wahyu Budiarto
menambahkan, "kerangka kerja hukum dan komersial yang
kuat sangat penting untuk melaksanakan berbagai program
eksplorasi dan pengembangan WKP Way Ratai di masa
depan. Chevron dan PGE berharap dapat menemukan dan
mengkonfirmasi sumber daya panas bumi, yang akan
dikembangkan untuk menghasilkan listrik ramah lingkungan
sesuai dengan rencana ketenagalistrikan nasional yang ada
saat ini. Konsorsium ini juga akan menjajaki pemanfaatan
sumber daya panas bumi yang berpotensi membangun pusat
produksi hidrogen hijau atau amonia hijau di Indonesia bagian
barat untuk memasok pasar domestik dan ekspor."
Direktur Jenderal Energi Baru Terbarukan dan Konservasi
Energi (EBTKE) Yudo Dwinanda Priaadi menyambut baik
perjanjian ini dan mengatakan, "ini merupakan tonggak
penting bagi Chevron dan PGE dalam mengeksplorasi sumber
daya panas bumi yang belum termanfaatkan di Blok Way
Ratai untuk membantu dan berkontribusi bagi Indonesia dalam
mencapai tujuan transisi energinya."

Description of Material Information or Jakarta, 3 October 2023 - Consortium of Chevron New
Facts Energies through PT Jasa Daya Chevron (Chevron) and PT
Pertamina Geothermal Energy Tbk (PGE) (IDX: PGEO) signed
several foundation agreements at Park Hyatt Hotel, Jakarta
which will become the basis to incorporate a local new
business entity and placement of the exploration commitment
fund in the joint account. The new entity will officially hold the
license (IPB) of the working area and will carry out various
activities in this exploration phase, which will include among
others various survey works and exploration drilling.
The signing of the agreements follows the 12 June 2023
decision of the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources
regarding the determination of the consortium of PGE and
Chevron as the winner of the geothermal working area (WKP)
auction for Way Ratai in Lampung Province.
President Director of PT Pertamina Geothermal Energy Tbk,
Julfi Hadi said that "the consortium has been working with the
Directorate General of New and Renewable Energy and
Energy Conservation (EBTKE) of the Ministry of Energy and
Mineral Resources (ESDM) in the last few months to build
strong legal and commercial frameworks acceptable to the
consortium parties and the government of Indonesia, in
alignment with the relevant regulations."
Chevron Indonesia Country Manager Wahyu Budiarto added,
"a strong legal and commercial framework is critical to
executing various exploration programs and the future
development of WKP Way Ratai. Chevron and PGE expect to
find and confirm geothermal resources, which will be
developed to produce green electricity in accordance with the
existing national power electricity plan. The consortium will
also explore the utilization of geothermal resources for a
potential green hydrogen or green ammonia production hub in
western Indonesia to supply to domestic and export markets."
Director General of New and Renewable Energy and Energy
Conservation (EBTKE), Yudo Dwinanda Priaadi welcomed this
agreement and said, "this is a significant milestone for both
Chevron and PGE in exploring the untapped geothermal
resources in Way Ratai Block to help contribute to Indonesia's
energy transition objectives."
