Uraian Informasi atau Fakta Material Lakukan Kunjungan Balasan, Kenya Kian Serius Jalin Kerja
Sama dengan Pertamina Geothermal Energy
Jakarta, 14 September 2023 - Kunjungan balasan pemerintah
Kenya beserta rombongan menjadi momentum penting bagi
kelanjutan kerja sama dua negara untuk mengembangkan
potensi panas bumi. PT Pertamina Geothermal Energy Tbk
(PGE) (IDX: PGEO) menyambut baik kunjungan salah satu
negara dari Afrika yang telah sukses menjadikan panas bumi
sebagai sumber energi listrik di negaranya.
Direktur Utama PT Pertamina Geothermal Energy Tbk Julfi
Hadi menjelaskan, "Pada kunjungan ini delegasi Kenya dan
PGE membahas lebih lanjut rencana kerja sama
pengembangan panas bumi yang dapat bermanfaat bagi
Indonesia dan Kenya."
Kunjungan delegasi Kenya ini dilakukan pada 12-13
September 2023. Delegasi dari Kenya dipimpin langsung oleh
Ministry Energy & Petroleum Kenya Davis Chirchir bersama
Managing Director & CEO Geothermal Development Company
(GDC) Paul Ngungi, Ketua Umum Guma Africa Jayesh Saini
dan beberapa representatif Kenya lainnya.
Kunjungan ini disambut oleh Menteri Koordinator Bidang
Kemaritiman dan Investasi Indonesia Jenderal TNI (Purn.)
Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan, Menteri Energi dan Sumber Daya
Mineral Indonesia Arifin Tasrif, Direktur Utama PT Pertamina
Power Indonesia Dannif Danusaputro, Direktur Utama
Pertamina Geothermal Energy Tbk Julfi Hadi serta beberapa
anak perusahaan Pertamina lainnya.
Bagi Kenya, kunjungan ini menjadi balasan terhadap
kehadiran Indonesia pada Agustus silam. Saat itu, Presiden
Joko Widodo memimpin rombongan delegasi yang di
dalamnya turut serta pimpinan PGE dan PT Pertamina
(Persero).
Julfi mengatakan kunjungan balasan ini menjadi sinyal positif
untuk sinergi kedua belah pihak. "Setelah adanya kesepakatan
yang sudah dibuat saat berkunjung ke Kenya kemarin,
pertemuan ini menjadi hal baik. Ini menunjukkan kesungguhan
dari kedua pihak untuk saling bersinergi mengembangkan
potensi energi panas bumi sebagai sumber energi bersih yang
menjadi kebutuhan global," tuturnya.
Menindaklanjuti Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) G2G
yang sudah disepakati oleh Indonesia dan Kenya pada
kunjungan ke Kenya Agustus lalu, dalam kunjungan kali ini
dilakukan penandatanganan non-disclosure agreement (NDA)
antara Geothermal Development Company (GDC) dan PT
Pertamina Geothermal Energy Tbk (PGE) untuk mempelajari
lebih lanjut kemungkinan kerja sama dalam pengembangan
potensi panas bumi di Kenya dan Indonesia.
Penandatanganan NDA ini dilakukan oleh Direktur Utama
PGE Julfi Hadi dan Managing Director & CEO Geothermal
Development Company (GDC) Paul Ngungi serta disaksikan
langsung oleh Menteri Koordinator Bidang Kemaritiman dan
Investasi Jenderal TNI (Purn.) Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan pada
Rabu (13/9) di Kantor Kementerian Koordinator Bidang
Kemaritiman dan Investasi.

Julfi mengatakan kerja sama dengan Kenya ini sebagai
langkah awal PGE untuk menjadi world class green energy
company. Saat berkunjung ke Kenya, PGE menandatangani
kesepakatan dengan Africa Geothermal International Limited
(AGIL) untuk mengembangkan Konsesi Longonot di Kenya,
yang memiliki potensi pengembangan sampai dengan 500
MW dimana 140 MW siap untuk di eksploitasi.
Terkait progres kerja sama dengan AGIL, Julfi mengatakan,
saat ini kedua belah pihak sedang melakukan sharing data
hingga 3 bulan ke depan. "Tentunya banyak hal bernilai positif
bagi kedua negara dalam mengembangkan energi panas
bumi," ujarnya.

Description of Material Information or Kenya Makes Counter-Visit Visit to Cooperate with Pertamina
Facts Geothermal Energy
Jakarta, September 14, 2023 -- The counter-visit of the
government of Kenya and its entourage becomes an important
momentum for the continuation of cooperation between the
two countries to develop geothermal energy potential. PT
Pertamina Geothermal Energy (PGE) (IDX: PGEO) welcomes
the visit of this one African country that has successfully made
geothermal energy a source of electricity in its country.

Julfi Hadi explained, "During this counter-visit, the delegation
of Kenya and Pertamina Geothermal Energy further discussed
the cooperation plan for geothermal energy development that
can benefit Indonesia and Kenya."
The visit from the delegation of Kenya was conducted on
September 12-13, 2023. The delegation of Kenya was led by
Kenya's Ministry of Energy & Petroleum Davis Chirchir,
Managing Director & CEO of Geothermal Development
Company (GDC) Paul Ngungi, Chairman of Guma Africa
Jayesh Saini and several other Kenyan representatives.
The visit was welcomed by the Coordinating Minister for
Maritime Affairs and Investment General TNI (Ret.) Luhut
Binsar Pandjaitan, Indonesian Minister of Energy and Mineral
Resources Arifin Tasrif, President Director of Pertamina Power
Indonesia Dannif Danusaputro, President Director of
Pertamina Geothermal Energy Julfi Hadi and several other
Pertamina subsidiaries.
For Kenya, this visit is a response to Indonesia's presence last
August. At that time, President Joko Widodo led a group of
delegations which included the leaders of Pertamina
Geothermal Energy and Pertamina (Persero).
Julfi said this counter-visit is a positive signal for a synergy
between the two parties. "After the agreement that was made
during our visit to Kenya, this meeting marks a good thing.
This shows the seriousness of both parties to synergize with
each other to develop the potential of geothermal energy as a
clean energy source that has become a global necessity," he
said.
Following up on the G2G Memorandum of Understanding
(MoU) which was agreed upon by Indonesia and Kenya during
Indonesia visit to Kenya last August, an non-disclosure
agreement (NDA) was signed during this counter-visit between
the Geothermal Development Company (GDC) and Pertamina
Geothermal Energy to learn more of the cooperation
possibilities in developing geothermal potential for Kenya and
Indonesia.
The signing of the NDA was carried out by the President
Director of Pertamina Geothermal Energy Julfi Hadi and
Managing Director & CEO of Geothermal Development
Company (GDC) Paul Ngungi and witnessed directly by the
Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment
General TNI (Ret.) Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan on Wednesday
(13/9/) at the Office of the Coordinating Ministry for Maritime
Affairs and Investment.

Furthermore, during this visit there was also an agreement to
study the first phase of the Suswa concession development
plan in Kenya of 3x100 MW between Pertamina Geothermal
Energy and Geothermal Development Company.
Julfi said this cooperation with Kenya is the first step for PGE
to become a world class green energy company. During PGE's
visit to Kenya, they signed an agreement with Africa
Geothermal International Limited (AGIL) to develop the
Longonot Concession in Kenya, which has a potential for
development up to 500 MW of which 140 MW is ready for
exploitation.
Regarding the progress of cooperation with AGIL, Julfi said,
currently both parties are sharing data for the next 3 months.
"Surely there are many things of positive value for both
countries in developing geothermal energy," he said.
