Uraian Informasi atau Fakta Material PT Pertamina Geothermal Energy Tbk (PGE) (IDX: PGEO)
memulai rangkaian roadshow global dengan mengunjungi
lapangan wet steam terbesar di dunia milik Energy
Development Corporation (EDC) di Leyte, Filipina. Kunjungan
ini menjadi langkah strategis PGE dalam mengoptimalkan
pengembangan teknologi panas bumi melalui penerapan
Flow2Max. Inisiatif tersebut mencerminkan upaya PGE untuk
membuka sumber pendapatan baru melalui komersialisasi
inovasi sekaligus memperkuat ekosistem manufaktur dan jasa
pengembangan panas bumi, selaras dengan visinya sebagai
world class green energy company.
Dalam agenda ini, PGE hadir bersama PT Sigma Cipta Utama
(SCU) yang merupakan anak usaha PT Elnusa Tbk bagian
dari Pertamina Hulu Energi. Kunjungan ini menjadi upaya PGE
untuk memperluas kolaborasi internasional dan pembahasan
potensi implementasi perdana teknologi Flow2Max di
lapangan panas bumi milik EDC. Kedua pihak membahas
berbagai aspek teknis, meliputi pemenuhan kebutuhan teknis,
pengukuran lapangan, dan negosiasi harga, sebelum
memasuki tahap manufaktur serta pengiriman perangkat
menuju instalasi. Pemasangan perdana ditargetkan pada Juni
2026.

menyambut langsung delegasi PGE yang diwakili oleh
Manager Ops. Asset Management & Optimization PGE Jati
Permana Kurniawan, Manager Production & Optimization
Excellence PGE Mohamad Husni Mubarok, beserta tim terkait.
Turut hadir dalam pertemuan tersebut perwakilan Ecolab
International Indonesia (Ecolab) selaku mitra pengembangan
Flow2Max, serta PT Sigma Cipta Utama (SCU).
Dalam sesi diskusi, Head of Geothermal Technology and
Innovation (Subsurface Team) EDC Erlindo Angcoy Jr.
memaparkan gambaran umum lapangan panas bumi Leyte
beserta tantangan operasional yang dihadapi. Erlindo
menyampaikan ketertarikan terhadap teknologi Flow2Max
karena teknologi ini sesuai dengan profil lapangan dan
kebutuhan EDC dalam mendukung optimalisasi kinerja sumur
panas bumi.
Dalam kesempatan yang sama, PGE berbagi pengalaman
dalam penanganan sumur-sumur superheat dari perspektif
operasi serta pengelolaan uap panas bumi super panas
(geothermal superheated steam) di wilayah kerjanya.
Manager Production & Optimization Excellence PGE
Mohamad Husni Mubarok, Ph.D. mengatakan, Kami bangga
dapat memperkenalkan inovasi teknologi pengelolaan
superheated steam PGE kepada salah satu perusahaan
panas bumi terbesar dan bereputasi di dunia. Terlebih, Filipina
saat ini menempati peringkat ketiga kapasitas panas bumi
dunia setelah Amerika Serikat dan Indonesia. Kami harap
penerapan teknologi Flow2Max dapat mendukung optimalisasi
operasional, meningkatkan efisiensi produksi, serta
memperkuat pengelolaan reservoir EDC secara berkelanjutan.
Flow2Max hadir sebagai teknologi pengukuran dua fase (two-
phase flow meter) yang memungkinkan pemantauan aliran
fluida secara real-time, sehingga operator dapat mengevaluasi
kinerja serta memprediksi produktivitas sumur produksi

dengan lebih akurat. Penggunaan Flow2Max juga memperkuat
manajemen dan optimalisasi reservoir di setiap lapangan
panas bumi, termasuk membantu mendeteksi dini potensi
masalah teknis pada sumur. Inovasi ini dikembangkan dari
riset studi doktoral oleh Manager Production and Operation
Excellence PGE Mohamad Husni Mubarok, Ph.D. saat
menempuh pendidikan di University of Auckland.

Facts began its global roadshow by visiting Energy Development
Corporation's (EDC) largest wet steam field in the world in
Leyte, Philippines. This visit is a strategic step for PGE in
optimizing geothermal technology development through the
application of Flow2Max. This initiative reflects PGE's efforts to
open up new sources of revenue through the
commercialization of innovation while strengthening the
geothermal manufacturing and development services
ecosystem, in line with its vision as a world-class green energy
company.
In this agenda, PGE was accompanied by PT Sigma Cipta
Utama (SCU), a subsidiary of PT Elnusa Tbk, part of
Pertamina Hulu Energi. This visit is part of PGE's efforts to
expand international collaboration and discuss the potential for
the initial implementation of Flow2Max technology in EDC's
geothermal field. The two parties discussed various technical
aspects, including technical requirements, field measurements,
and price negotiations, before entering the manufacturing
stage and shipping the equipment for installation. The initial
installation is targeted for June 2026.

welcomed the PGE delegation represented by PGE Asset
Management & Optimization Operations Manager Jati
Permana Kurniawan, PGE Production & Optimization
Excellence Manager Mohamad Husni Mubarok, and the
relevant team. Also present at the meeting were
representatives from Ecolab International Indonesia (Ecolab)
as a Flow2Max development partner, and PT Sigma Cipta
Utama (SCU).
During the discussion session, Head of Geothermal
Technology and Innovation (Subsurface Team) EDC Erlindo
Angcoy Jr. presented an overview of the Leyte geothermal
field and the operational challenges faced. Erlindo expressed
interest in Flow2Max technology because it is suitable for the
field profile and EDC's needs in supporting geothermal well
performance optimization.
On the same occasion, PGE shared its experience in handling
superheated wells from an operational perspective and in
managing superheated geothermal steam in its working area.
PGE's Manager of Production & Optimization Excellence,
Mohamad Husni Mubarok, Ph.D., said, We are proud to
introduce PGE's innovative superheated steam management
technology to one of the world's largest and most reputable
geothermal companies. Moreover, the Philippines currently
ranks third in global geothermal capacity after the United
States and Indonesia. We hope that the application of
Flow2Max technology will be beneficial for the Philippines'
geothermal sector.
Flow2Max is a two-phase flow meter technology that enables
real-time fluid flow monitoring, allowing operators to evaluate
performance and predict production well productivity more
accurately. The use of Flow2Max also strengthens reservoir
management and optimization in every geothermal field,
including helping to detect potential technical problems in wells
early on. This innovation was developed from doctoral

research by PGE Production and Operation Excellence
Manager Mohamad Husni Mubarok, Ph.D., while studying at
the University of Auckland.
PGE Asset Management & Optimization Operations Manager
Jati Permana Kurniawan added that PGE and EDC have
agreed to continue their strategic partnership.
Going forward, we are committed to strengthening this
collaboration, not only through technology implementation, but
also through knowledge exchange and technical capability
enhancement to drive the advancement of the geothermal
sector at the global level. This step is also in line with PGE's
vision to become a world-leading geothermal producer and
geothermal center of excellence, said Jati Permana
Kurniawan.
