Dukung energi industri yang lebih efisien dan rendah emisi

Dalam sambutannya, Wakil Menteri ESDM Yuliot Tanjung menyampaikan bahwa kehadiran
pabrik mini LNG ini sejalan dengan upaya pemerintah dalam memperluas akses energi yang
lebih bersih dan efisien bagi sektor industri. Ia menegaskan bahwa fasilitas ini merupakan
kilang mini LNG pertama di Pulau Jawa yang diharapkan dapat mengoptimalkan pemanfaatan
gas domestik untuk industri, pembangkit listrik, serta berbagai kegiatan ekonomi lainnya,
bahkan berpotensi didistribusikan ke berbagai wilayah Indonesia.




Yuliot juga berharap kehadiran kilang mini LNG dapat menjadi benchmark pengembangan
infrastruktur energi modular di berbagai daerah. Ia menyoroti bahwa subsidi LPG nasional
diperkirakan mencapai Rp87 triliun pada 2025, sehingga fasilitas ini diharapkan dapat
mendorong substitusi konsumsi LPG dengan LNG, mengurangi ketergantungan impor,

sekaligus meningkatkan efisiensi anggaran. “Pada akhirnya akan terjadi efisiensi dan dalam
jangka panjang masyarakat bisa mendapatkan energi yang cukup dengan harga yang lebih
terjangkau,” ujar Yuliot.




Senada dengan hal tersebut, Duta Besar Argentina untuk Indonesia, Gustavo Ricardo Coppa,
menyampaikan apresiasi atas beroperasinya fasilitas ini sebagai wujud kolaborasi teknologi
antara Indonesia dan Argentina melalui Galileo Technologies. Menurutnya, proyek ini bukan
hanya pembangunan fasilitas baru, tetapi juga langkah nyata dalam memperkuat ketahanan
energi, memperluas pemanfaatan bahan bakar bersih, serta mengembangkan infrastruktur
energi modern di wilayah kepulauan. Ia berharap kerja sama kedua negara dapat terus
berlanjut dalam jangka panjang.

Fasilitas mini LNG perkuat bisnis infrastruktur KIJA

Wakil Direktur Utama PT Jababeka Tbk, Budianto Liman, menyampaikan apresiasi atas
dukungan pemerintah pusat maupun daerah terhadap proyek ini.

“Kami merasa terhormat atas kehadiran Bapak Wakil Menteri ESDM dalam peresmian ini.
Pabrik ini merupakan pabrik mini LNG pertama yang dikelola swasta di Pulau Jawa. Kami juga
mengapresiasi dukungan pemerintah dalam menciptakan iklim yang kondusif bagi
pengembangan infrastruktur energi. Kami yakin fasilitas ini dapat berkontribusi pada
penyediaan energi yang lebih rendah emisi dan kompetitif bagi pelaku industri, khususnya di
Pulau Jawa dan sekitarnya,” ujarnya.

Pabrik yang berdiri di atas lahan sekitar 1 hektar ini beroperasi sebagai pusat pengolahan dan
distribusi LNG dengan kapasitas produksi saat ini 2,5 MMSCFD per hari (dengan potensi
ekspansi hingga 4 MMSCFD per hari).

Budianto menambahkan bahwa operasional pabrik mini LNG ini diharapkan dapat menambah
kontribusi bisnis infrastruktur yang bersifat recurring terhadap pendapatan usaha KIJA,
seiring meningkatnya kebutuhan energi industri yang lebih kompetitif secara harga dan
rendah emisi.

Solusi energi kompetitif untuk pelaku industri

CEO PT LNG, Wira Rahardja, menambahkan bahwa pihaknya siap bekerja sama dengan
perusahaan atau pelaku usaha yang ingin melakukan transisi ke energi yang lebih rendah
emisi. Saat ini, pabrik mini LNG didukung armada distribusi menggunakan iso tank berukuran
20 dan 40 kaki untuk melayani kebutuhan konsumen, baik ritel maupun perusahaan
distributor.




“Pada tahap awal operasional, kami telah berhasil menyediakan dan menyalurkan gas alam
cair ke wilayah Jawa Timur dan Bali secara andal, baik dari sisi kualitas maupun distribusi.

Capaian ini memperkuat keyakinan kami bahwa fasilitas ini dapat mendukung perusahaan
yang ingin beralih ke energi yang lebih ramah lingkungan,” ujar Wira Rahardja.

Ia menambahkan bahwa sejumlah konsumen telah merasakan manfaat langsung setelah
beralih menggunakan LNG, terutama dari sisi efisiensi biaya energi.

“Saat ini kami telah bekerja sama dengan beberapa konsumen, termasuk PGN Gagas”
tutupnya.

Targetkan peningkatan kapasitas produksi

Untuk tahap selanjutnya, PT LNG menargetkan peningkatan kapasitas produksi dari 2,5
MMSCFD per hari menjadi 4 MMSCFD per hari melalui penambahan dua unit mesin
pengolahan LNG.




Langkah ini diambil untuk memenuhi permintaan energi industri yang terus meningkat,
khususnya di wilayah Jawa Timur, Bali, dan sekitarnya. Perusahaan menargetkan ekspansi
kapasitas tersebut pada paruh kedua tahun 2027.

“Dengan kapasitas yang lebih besar, kami optimistis dapat menjangkau lebih banyak
konsumen sekaligus memperkuat peran kami dalam mendukung transisi energi di sektor

 Jababeka Inaugurates Mini LNG Plant at PIER, Strengthening Infrastructure
           Business and Supporting Industrial Energy Transition

Pasuruan, February 11, 2026 – PT Jababeka Tbk (KIJA), through its subsidiary PT Likuid
Nusantara Gas (PT LNG), has officially commenced operations of a mini liquefied natural gas
(LNG) plant located in the Pasuruan Industrial Estate Rembang (PIER), Pasuruan, East Java.
The inauguration was officiated by the Vice Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM)
of the Republic of Indonesia, Yuliot Tanjung, marked by the pressing of a siren button on
Wednesday (11/02).

The project was developed by PT Likuid Nusantara Gas as a joint venture (JV). In terms of
ownership structure, PT Jababeka Infrastruktur, a subsidiary of KIJA, holds 60% of the shares,
while PT Fortius Development Asia and individual shareholders each hold 20%. The total
investment value of the mini LNG plant is approximately US$16.9 million.

The inauguration ceremony was attended by Sentot Harijady Bradjanto Tri Putro, Director of
Downstream Oil and Gas Business Development of the Ministry of Energy and Mineral
Resources, representing the Director General of Oil and Gas, Laode Sulaeman. Also present
were Noor Arifin Muhammad, Director of Engineering and Environment for Oil and Gas;
Muhammad Mahmud Azhar Lubis, Special Staff to the Minister of Energy and Mineral
Resources for Investment and Economic Affairs; and Gustavo Ricardo Coppa, Ambassador of
Argentina to Indonesia. The event was also attended by the management of PT Jababeka Tbk
and PT Likuid Nusantara Gas, as well as the board of directors of PT Fortius Development Asia.

Supporting More Efficient and Lower-Emission Industrial Energy

In his remarks, Vice Minister Yuliot Tanjung stated that the presence of this mini LNG plant
aligns with the government’s efforts to expand access to cleaner and more efficient energy
for the industrial sector. He emphasized that the facility is the first mini LNG plant on Java
Island and is expected to optimize domestic gas utilization for industry, power generation,
and various economic activities, with potential distribution across Indonesia.

Yuliot also expressed hope that the mini LNG plant would serve as a benchmark for modular
energy infrastructure development in various regions. He highlighted that national LPG
subsidies are projected to reach IDR87 trillion in 2025, and therefore the facility is expected

to encourage substitution from LPG to LNG, reduce import dependency, and improve fiscal
efficiency.

“Ultimately, this will create efficiency, and in the long term the public can obtain sufficient
energy at more affordable prices,” said Yuliot.

Echoing this sentiment, the Ambassador of Argentina to Indonesia, Gustavo Ricardo Coppa,
expressed appreciation for the operation of the facility as a form of technological
collaboration between Indonesia and Argentina through Galileo Technologies. According to
him, the project is not merely the development of a new facility but also a concrete step
toward strengthening energy resilience, expanding the use of cleaner fuels, and developing
modern energy infrastructure across the archipelago. He expressed hope that cooperation
between the two countries will continue in the long term.

Mini LNG Facility Strengthens KIJA’s Infrastructure Business

Vice President Director of PT Jababeka Tbk, Budianto Liman, conveyed appreciation for the
support from both central and regional governments for the project.

“We are honored by the presence of the Vice Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources at
this inauguration. This plant is the first privately managed mini LNG facility on Java Island. We
also appreciate the government’s support in creating a conducive environment for energy
infrastructure development. We believe this facility can contribute to providing lower-
emission and competitive energy solutions for industrial players, particularly in Java and
surrounding regions,” he said.

The plant, which occupies approximately one hectare of land, operates as an LNG processing
and distribution hub with a current production capacity of 2.5 MMSCFD per day (with
expansion potential up to 4 MMSCFD per day). Budianto added that the operation of the mini
LNG plant is expected to increase the contribution of KIJA’s infrastructure business through
recurring revenue streams, in line with growing demand for competitively priced and lower-
emission industrial energy.

Competitive Energy Solutions for Industrial Players

CEO of PT LNG, Wira Rahardja, added that the company is ready to collaborate with
companies and business players seeking to transition to lower-emission energy. Currently,

the mini LNG plant is supported by an iso tank distribution fleet with 20-foot and 40-foot units
to serve both retail customers and distributor companies.

“In the early stage of operations, we have successfully supplied and distributed LNG to East
Java and Bali reliably, both in terms of quality and logistics. This achievement strengthens our
confidence that the facility can support companies transitioning to more environmentally
friendly energy,” said Wira Rahardja.

He added that several customers have experienced direct benefits after switching to LNG,
particularly in terms of energy cost efficiency. “We have established cooperation with several
customers, including PGN Gagas,” he concluded.

Targeting Production Capacity Expansion

For the next phase, PT LNG targets increasing production capacity from 2.5 MMSCFD per day
to 4 MMSCFD per day through the addition of two LNG processing units.

This step is taken to meet continuously growing industrial energy demand, particularly in East
Java, Bali, and surrounding areas. The company targets the capacity expansion in the second
half of 2027.

“With larger capacity, we are optimistic about reaching more customers while strengthening
our role in supporting the industrial energy transition,” concluded Wira Rahardja.
