Bumi Resources Advances Acquisition of Jubilee Metals Limited, Expanding Gold
Portfolio in Australia
Jakarta, 19 December 2025 – PT Bumi Resources Tbk (“Company” or “BUMI”), the world’s largest
thermal coal exporter and one of Indonesia’s leading natural resources companies, announces the
completion of the acquisition of Jubilee Metals Limited (“JML”), a gold-focused mining company
operating in Northern Queensland, Australia.
BUMI now holds a controlling 64.98% stake in Jubilee Metals Limited.
Strategic Fit with BUMI’s Long-Term Diversification Roadmap
The JML acquisition is aligned with BUMI’s long-term diversification strategy, which targets a 50:50
consolidated EBITDA earnings composition between thermal coal and non-thermal coal assets by 2031.
This multi-phase transformation strengthens the Company’s resilience, reduces dependence on a single
commodity cycle, and positions BUMI for growth in the global energy transition.
JML: High-Grade Gold Asset with Exploration Upside
JML is a near-term gold-producing asset, hosting high-grade gold ore with additional upside potential
from ongoing exploration.
JML is expected to commence mining activities in July 2026 and is targeted to deliver 9.89 thousand
ounces of gold in 2026.
“Our majority acquisition of Jubilee Metals Limited reinforces BUMI’s commitment to delivering
sustainable, long-term value for our shareholders. JML brings a high-grade gold asset that is expected
to enter production in the near term, with meaningful upside, complementing the copper platform we
recently secured through Wolfram. Together, these assets strengthen our diversification roadmap and
enhance BUMI’s ability to generate stable returns across commodity cycles,” said Adika Nuraga
Bakrie, President Director of Bumi Resources.
Wolfram: Copper Asset with Strong Production History
Wolfram Limited, recently acquired 100% controlling interest by BUMI, provides the Company with
access to significant copper resources, expanding the BUMI’s footprint into Australia’s established
copper–gold corridor. Wolfram is targeted to restart operations in June 2026 and is targeted to deliver
9,443 tonnes of copper equivalent in 2026.
