SMBC Indonesia Optimizes Portfolio Transformation to Maintain Sustainable Growth in H1-2026

Jakarta, July 31, 2026 — PT Bank SMBC Indonesia Tbk. (SMBC Indonesia) posted positive performance
in the first half of 2026, supported by business growth, a strengthened funding structure, and business
portfolio optimization as part of its strategy to strengthen long-term growth.

One of the strategic initiatives it undertook in the first half of this year was the implementation of the
first phase of the transfer of its pension credit portfolio to PT Bank Tabungan Negara Tbk. (BTN). This
step was taken to ensure the continuity of service to customers while providing SMBC Indonesia with
flexibility in allocating capital and resources to potential business areas.

SMBC Indonesia President Director Henoch Munandar stated that the performance in the first half of
2026 reflects the bank’s commitment to continuously building a stronger business foundation to
enable healthy and sustainable growth amidst the dynamics of domestic and international economies,
as well as in the banking industry.

"We continue to strengthen our business fundamentals so that the bank can grow healthily and
sustainably. Every strategic step is aimed at maintaining a balance between performance
achievement and value creation, so that the lives of stakeholders altogether become more
meaningful," said Henoch.

As of the end of June 2026, SMBC Indonesia recorded consolidated loan disbursement of Rp185.3
trillion. Loan disbursement was supported by growth in several key business segments, including
corporate and commercial loans at 12.8% year-on-year (yoy), loans in the digital-savvy segment
through Jenius (excluding Digital Micro) at 9.9% yoy, and PT Bank BTPN Syariah Tbk. (BTPN Syariah)
financing at 8.7% yoy. Meanwhile, the OTO Group financing increased by 5.8% yoy.

In line with growing business activity, SMBC Indonesia recorded consolidated operating income of
Rp8.6 trillion in the first half of 2026, derived from net interest income of Rp7.5 trillion and other
operating income of Rp1.0 trillion.

Meanwhile, SMBC Indonesia's consolidated credit costs decreased by 14.8% yoy to Rp2.1 trillion, in line
with the implementation of prudent and proactive credit risk management by maintaining adequate
provision levels to safeguard portfolio quality.

SMBC Indonesia's total consolidated assets grew 4.7% yoy to Rp245.5 trillion at the end of June 2026.

SMBC Indonesia recorded a consolidated net profit after tax attributable to owners of the parent entity
of Rp1.4 trillion in the first half of 2026, a 40.3%-yoy increase, in part due to the proceeds from the
transfer of the pension loan portfolio. Meanwhile, SMBC Indonesia's bank-only net profit after tax grew
86% yoy to Rp1.066 trillion during the period.

The positive performance of its subsidiaries also contributed to SMBC Indonesia's consolidated
performance. BTPN Syariah recorded a net profit of Rp655 billion in the first half of 2026, a 1.8%-yoy
increase. BTPN Syariah's financing disbursement reached Rp11 trillion, an 8.7%-yoy increase.
Meanwhile, the OTO Group posted a net profit of Rp382 billion in the first half of 2026, a 251.8%-yoy
increase. The OTO Group's net profit growth was supported by a 5.8%-yoy increase in financing and
lower credit costs.

Funding and Capital Remain Strong
SMBC Indonesia continues to strengthen its funding structure through growth in current account and
savings account (CASA). By the end of June 2026, CASA balances increased by 37.4% to Rp60.1 trillion.
Correspondingly, the CASA ratio increased to 47.5% from 39.8%, driven by growth in funding from the
corporate and commercial, small-and-medium enterprise (SME), and retail segments. Specifically,

CASA growth in the SME segment was also supported by a rise in use of TOUCHBIZ, a digital solution
specifically designed to simplify SME financial activities, allowing business owners to focus on growing
their businesses.

"Strengthening CASA is an important part of our efforts to build a healthier and more efficient funding
structure. With strong liquidity, we have greater flexibility to support customer needs while
strengthening the bank’s capacity to develop its business sustainably," said Henoch.

This strong funding position is also supported by solid capital. As of June 30, 2026, the bank’s capital
adequacy ratio (CAR) stood at 30.7%.

Optimizing Financial Literacy and Inclusion through Daya
SMBC Indonesia continues to strengthen its commitment to improving financial literacy and inclusion
through various Daya programs, which involve education and empowerment programs that reach
various segments of society. Throughout the first half of 2026, the bank’s financial literacy activities
reached 4,830 participants through various seminars and 18 individual consultation sessions.

Through the Daya Program, SMBC Indonesia also presents various initiatives for vocational high school
teachers, women's communities, and corporate employees, covering personal financial management,
retirement planning, and education on the risks of online loans and consumer debt.

As part of its efforts to expand its educational impact, Daya has developed a financial literacy
curriculum, "A More Meaningful Future through Financial Readiness," for vocational high school
students. Implementation of the curriculum began with a training of trainers (TOT) for six teachers from
two schools and will begin with approximately 1,000 10th-grade students in August 2026. In addition,
Daya also provides individual financial mentoring for teachers to support personal financial
management and long-term financial planning.

SMBC Indonesia also expands public access to education through its digital platform, Daya.id, which
provides a variety of content on finance, business, and lifestyle. As of the end of June 2026, Daya.id
recorded 451,558 visitors, an increase compared to 173,177 visitors in the same period the previous
year. Since its launch, the platform has also had more than 238,000 registered users who can access
more than 5,000 educational contents, strengthening Daya's role as an empowerment ecosystem
that supports communities to continue to grow sustainably.
