BUMI Receives Gold Star Award – Big Cap at Investortrust ESG Awards 2025
Jakarta, 11 November 2025 – PT Bumi Resources Tbk (“Company” or “Bumi Resources”, IDX:
BUMI), the world’s largest thermal coal exporter and a leading natural resources company, has
once again demonstrated its commitment to sustainability by receiving the Gold Star Award –
Big Cap at the Investortrust ESG Awards 2025.
The award ceremony, held at The Ritz-Carlton Jakarta, Mega Kuningan (23/10), carried the theme
“Leadership for a Sustainable Indonesia: Towards Net Zero Commitment & Green Economy”,
honoring companies that consistently apply Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG)
principles across their business operations.
The Investortrust ESG Awards 2025 evaluated corporate sustainability performance based on four
key indicators: ESG Absolute Risk Ratings, ESG Sectoral Risk Ratings, ESG Disclosure Scores,
and share price growth over the past 12 months. The assessment was conducted by an independent
panel of experts in economics, finance, and sustainability, including Prof. Sidharta Utama
(Professor, Faculty of Economics and Business, University of Indonesia) and Prof. Roy Sembel
(Professor, IPMI International Business School).
“Throughout 2024, Bumi Resources allocated USD 72.06 million for environmental initiatives,
supporting various programs such as biodiversity conservation, tree planting, waste management,
and other environmental responsibility projects. This achievement reflects Bumi Resources’
commitment to embedding sustainability as a core part of its business strategy,” said Renova
Viscky, Group Head of ESG & CSR, Bumi Resources.
Bumi Resources continues to strengthen its ESG implementation through various strategic
initiatives, including energy efficiency, carbon emission reduction, local economic development,
and community empowerment programs aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
This award further reinforces Bumi Resources’ position as one of Indonesia’s pioneering mining
companies, successfully maintaining a balance between profitability, social responsibility, and
