Uraian Informasi atau Fakta Material Ajang tahunan terbesar industri panas bumi, The 11th
Indonesia International Geothermal Convention & Exhibition
(IIGCE) 2025, kembali digelar di Jakarta pada Rabu
(17/9/2025). PT Pertamina Geothermal Energy Tbk (PGE)
(IDX: PGEO) berpartisipasi untuk meneguhkan komitmennya
dalam mendukung swasembada dan ketahanan energi
nasional.
Pembukaan IIGCE 2025 yang dilaksanakan di Jakarta
International Convention Center (JICC) turut dihadiri sejumlah
tokoh penting, termasuk Menteri Energi dan Sumber Daya
Mineral (ESDM) Bahlil Lahadalia, Wakil Menteri Investasi dan
Hilirisasi/Wakil Kepala BKPM Todotua Pasaribu, Direktur
Jenderal Energi Baru, Terbarukan, dan Konservasi Energi
(EBTKE) Kementerian ESDM Prof. Dr. Eng. Eniya Listiani
Dewi, B.Eng., M.Eng., IPU, serta jajaran tokoh lainnya. Ajang
ini menjadi forum bagi pemerintah, asosiasi, dan pelaku usaha
untuk membahas pengembangan potensi serta berbagi praktik
terbaik dalam pengelolaan panas bumi.
Pada kesempatan ini, Menteri Energi dan Sumber Daya
Mineral (ESDM) Bahlil Lahadalia menyatakan bahwa energi
terbarukan saat ini dibutuhkan secara global, karena semakin
banyak industri yang memprioritaskan produk ramah
lingkungan. Nantinya, panas bumi itu tidak hanya disuplai
untuk konsumsi rumah tangga, tetapi akan menjadi konsumsi
industri mulai dari hilir hingga hulu sehingga permintaannya
akan semakin besar lagi. Pemerintah secara konsisten
berkomitmen untuk mendukung energi baru terbarukan yang
tertuang dalam RUPTL 2025 - 2034 di mana porsi EBT
meningkat menjadi 69,5 GW, ujarnya.
Selaras dengan agenda tersebut, Direktur Jenderal Energi
Baru, Terbarukan, dan Konservasi Energi (EBTKE)
Kementerian ESDM Prof. Dr. Eng. Eniya Listiani Dewi, B.Eng.,
M.Eng., IPU mengatakan bahwa pemerintah telah berhasil
mempercepat proses perizinan panas bumi. Perizinan yang
tadinya 1,5 tahun sudah kita percepat menjadi hanya 7 hari
melalui Online Single Submission (OSS). Dalam 5 tahun ini,
kita berharap mempercepat dan menambah kapasitias 1 GW,
sehingga pemanfaatan panas bumi Indonesia menjadi nomor
satu di dunia. Dengan semua sumber daya yang ada, kita juga
dapat menjadi tempat belajar bagi negara-negara lain,
ungkapnya.
Ciptakan Nilai Tambah Lewat Beyond Electricity
Direktur Utama PT Pertamina Geothermal Energy Tbk Julfi
Hadi menekankan ajang IIGCE menjadi kesempatan bagi PGE
untuk membuka diskusi mengenai peluang bisnis panas bumi
di luar kelistrikan (off-grid).
Analisis kami menunjukkan potensi komersial yang tinggi
dalam bisnis off-grid, termasuk green hydrogen dan green
ammonia yang pasar domestiknya diprediksi akan tumbuh
signifikan di 2030. Hal ini menjadi kesempatan yang penting
untuk ditangkap oleh PGE.
PGE berupaya menjawab tantangan tersebut melalui strategi
beyond electricity. Saat ini kami sedang mempersiapkan
ekosistem green hydrogen. Di Indonesia, Pertamina menjadi
satu-satunya yang memiliki rantai proses end-to-end, mulai
dari panas bumi, elektrolisis, infrastruktur midstream, hingga
offtaker, tambahnya.

Tetap Fokus Capai Target 1 GW
PGE fokus dalam mewujudkan target 1 GW dalam 2 - 3 tahun
ke depan dan 1,7 GW pada 2034. Sejalan dengan itu, PGE
juga telah mengidentifikasi potensi panas bumi hingga 3 GW
dari 10 Wilayah Kerja Panas Bumi (WKP) yang dikelola secara
mandiri. Angka ini bukan sekadar data teknis, tetapi cerminan
dari besarnya peluang yang dimiliki Indonesia untuk
memperkuat ketahanan energi nasional. Lebih dari itu, potensi
ini dapat menjadi motor penggerak transisi menuju energi
bersih,jelas Julfi.
Melalui gelaran yang berlangsung pada 17 - 19 September ini,
PGE siap berperan aktif dalam membahas strategi penguatan
industri panas bumi. Beroperasinya PLTP Lumut Balai Unit 2,
proyek eksplorasi (greenfield) Gunung Tiga, groundbreaking
pilot project green hydrogen (hidrogen hijau) Ulubelu, serta
pengembangan proyek lainnya menjadi bukti nyata komitmen
kami dalam mengoptimalkan pemanfaatan panas bumi, kata
Julfi.
Setelah beroperasi penuh pada Juni lalu, PLTP Lumut Balai
Unit 2 berkapasitas 55 megawatt (MW) telah diresmikan oleh
Menteri Energi dan Sumber Daya Mineral (ESDM) Bahlil
Lahadalia.
Sebagai pionir pengembangan energi panas bumi di Indonesia
dengan pengalaman lebih dari 40 tahun, PGE saat ini
mengelola kapasitas terpasang sebesar 727 MW dari enam
wilayah operasi. PGE juga tengah mengembangkan sejumlah
proyek strategis seperti PLTP Hululais Unit 1 & 2 (110 MW),
serta beberapa proyek co-generation dengan total kapasitas
230 MW.
IIGCE 2025 merupakan rangkaian acara yang
diselenggarakan oleh Asosiasi Panasbumi Indonesia
(API/INAGA) dengan dukungan Direktorat Jenderal Energi
Baru Terbarukan dan Konservasi Energi (EBTKE)
Kementerian ESDM. Tahun ini, IIGCE mengusung tema
Fostering Collaboration for a Green Economy in Indonesia:
The Role of Geothermal Energy in Sustainable Growth.

Description of Material Information or The largest annual event in the geothermal industry, the 11th
Facts Indonesia International Geothermal Convention & Exhibition
(IIGCE) 2025, will once again be held in Jakarta on
Wednesday (September 17, 2025). PT Pertamina Geothermal
Energy Tbk (PGE) (IDX: PGEO) will participate to reaffirm its
commitment to supporting national energy self-sufficiency and
security.
The opening of IIGCE 2025, held at the Jakarta International
Convention Center (JICC), was attended by a number of
important figures, including Minister of Energy and Mineral
Resources (ESDM) Bahlil Lahadalia, Deputy Minister of
Investment and Downstream Industry/Deputy Head of BKPM
Todotua Pasaribu, Director General of New, Renewable, and
Conservation Energy (EBTKE) of the Ministry of Energy and
Mineral Resources Prof. Dr. Eng. Eniya Listiani Dewi, B.Eng.,
M.Eng., IPU, as well as other prominent figures. This event
served as a forum for the government, associations, and
business actors to discuss potential development and share
best practices in geothermal management.
On this occasion, Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources
(ESDM) Bahlil Lahadalia stated that renewable energy is
currently needed globally, as more and more industries are
prioritizing environmentally friendly products. In the future,
geothermal energy will not only be supplied for household
consumption, but will also be consumed by industries from
downstream to upstream, so that demand will increase even
further. The government is consistently committed to
supporting new and renewable energy as outlined in the 2025-
2034 RUPTL, in which the share of EBT will increase to 69.5
GW, he said.
In line with this agenda, the Director General of New,
Renewable Energy and Energy Conservation (EBTKE) of the
Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, Prof. Dr. Eng.
Eniya Listiani Dewi, B.Eng., M.Eng., IPU, said that the
government has succeeded in accelerating the geothermal
licensing process. Permits that used to take 1.5 years have
been accelerated to only 7 days through Online Single
Submission (OSS). In the next 5 years, we hope to accelerate
and increase capacity by 1 GW, so that Indonesia's
geothermal utilization becomes number one in the world. With
all the available resources, we can also become a learning
ground for other countries, she said.
Creating Added Value Through Beyond Electricity
PT Pertamina Geothermal Energy Tbk President Director Julfi
Hadi emphasized that the IIGCE event was an opportunity for
PGE to open discussions on geothermal business
opportunities beyond electricity (off-grid).
Our analysis shows high commercial potential in the off-grid
business, including green hydrogen and green ammonia,
whose domestic markets are predicted to grow significantly by
2030. This is an important opportunity for PGE to seize.
PGE is striving to respond to these challenges through its
beyond electricity strategy. We are currently preparing a green
hydrogen ecosystem. In Indonesia, Pertamina is the only
company with an end-to-end process chain, from geothermal
energy, electrolysis, midstream infrastructure, to offtakers, he
added.

Staying Focused on Achieving the 1 GW Target
PGE is focused on achieving its target of 1 GW in the next 2-3
years and 1.7 GW by 2034. In line with this, PGE has also
identified geothermal potential of up to 3 GW from 10
Geothermal Working Areas (WKP) that it manages
independently. This figure is not merely technical data, but a
reflection of the enormous opportunities Indonesia has to
strengthen its national energy security. Moreover, this potential
can be a driving force for the transition to clean energy,
explained Julfi.
Through the event held on September 17-19, PGE is ready to
play an active role in discussing strategies to strengthen the
geothermal industry. The operation of the Lumut Balai Unit 2
PLTP, the Gunung Tiga exploration (greenfield) project, the
groundbreaking of the Ulubelu green hydrogen pilot project,
and the development of other projects are clear evidence of
our commitment to optimizing the use of geothermal energy,
said Julfi.
After becoming fully operational in June, the 55-megawatt
(MW) Lumut Balai Unit 2 PLTP was inaugurated by Minister of
Energy and Mineral Resources Bahlil Lahadalia.
As a pioneer in geothermal energy development in Indonesia
with more than 40 years of experience, PGE currently
manages an installed capacity of 727 MW from six operating
areas. PGE is also developing a number of strategic projects
such as the Hululais Unit 1 & 2 PLTP (110 MW), as well as
several co-generation projects with a total capacity of 230 MW.
IIGCE 2025 is a series of events organized by the Indonesian
Geothermal Association (API/INAGA) with the support of the
Directorate General of New, Renewable Energy and Energy
Conservation (EBTKE) of the Ministry of Energy and Mineral
Resources. This year, IIGCE carries the theme Fostering
Collaboration for a Green Economy in Indonesia: The Role of
Geothermal Energy in Sustainable Growth.
