ANTAM Supports Mangrove Ecosystem Protection and Management in
West Kalimantan

Mempawah, August 8, 2025 - In commemoration of World Mangrove Day, the 79th Anniversary
of Bhayangkara, and the 80th Anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia, PT Aneka Tambang Tbk
(ANTM) or ANTAM participated in a mangrove planting event held alongside the Minister of
Environment, Dr. Hanif Faisol Nurofig, and the Chief of the Indonesian National Police, Police General
Drs. Listyo Sigit Prabowo, M.Si., at the Mempawah Mangrove Conservation (MMC), West Kalimantan.
This activity is part of efforts to restore mangrove ecosystems and strengthen the protection of
Indonesia's coastal areas.

ANTAM's President Director, Achmad Ardianto, emphasized that the ANTAM's involvement
in this event aligns with its commitment to environmental preservation, particularly in
coastal regions.

“As a mineral resource management company, including in the Mempawah area, ANTAM
recognizes the vital role of mangrove ecosystems in protecting coastal areas from erosion and
supporting environmental sustainability. Therefore, we fully support the initiative led by the
Minister of Environment and the Chief of the Indonesian National Police through this
mangrove planting at MMC, with the hope of delivering positive impacts for both the
ecosystem and surrounding communities,” said Ardianto.

As part of its sustainability practices based on Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG)
principles, ANTAM consistently conducts mangrove planting activities in areas surrounding its
operational sites. As of June 2025, ANTAM has planted over 1.16 million mangrove seedlings across
100 hectares.

“Several of ANTAM's operational areas are located in coastal zones, making mangrove
ecosystem maintenance a critical responsibility for us. This initiative is not only aimed at
preserving environmental guality and biodiversity, but also expected to bring social and
economic benefits to local communities,” Ardianto added.

ANTAM has also implemented various concrete measures to conserve mangrove ecosystems in its
Operational areas through rehabilitation and planting programs in the coastal zones of Southeast
Sulawesi, North Maluku, and Southwest Papua. The Company collaborates with coastal
communities and forest farmer groups to provide training in mangrove restoration, as well as
conducts environmental education forthe local communityand students. These initiatives form part
of ANTAM's long-term sustainability strategy in its operational regions.
