Uraian Informasi atau Fakta Material PT Pertamina Geothermal Energy Tbk (PGE) (IDX: PGEO)
berhasil menyelesaikan tahapan penting dalam
operasionalisasi Pembangkit Listrik Tenaga Panas Bumi
(PLTP) Lumut Balai Unit 2 dengan kapasitas 55 megawatt
(MW). Setelah melewati pengujian Unit Rated Capacity (URC)
selama 72 jam berturut-turut dan dinyatakan layak operasi
melalui penerbitan Surat Layak Operasi (SLO) pada 29 Juni
2025, pembangkit ini kini beroperasi penuh dan menyalurkan
listrik ke jaringan nasional. Dengan tambahan tersebut, PGE
kini mengelola kapasitas terpasang sebesar 727,5 MW dari
enam wilayah operasi.
Proses pengujian URC yang berlangsung pada 26-29 Juni
2025 menunjukkan performa pembangkitan yang stabil dan
sesuai spesifikasi. Dengan selesainya penandatanganan
Berita Acara URC dan penerbitan SLO, diharapkan proses
integrasi dan sinkronisasi proyek dengan jaringan kelistrikan
nasional dapat berjalan dengan lancar, serta memberikan
kontribusi positif terhadap bauran energi nasional dari sumber
energi baru terbarukan, khususnya dari panas bumi. Fase ini
juga menjadi tonggak penting dalam monetisasi aset melalui
transaksi penjualan listrik oleh PGE kepada PLN.

Julfi Hadi mengatakan bahwa capaian ini merupakan hasil
kerja kolektif tim PGE di lapangan dan dukungan berbagai
pemangku kepentingan. Kami bersyukur pembangkitan PLTP
Lumut Balai Unit 2 kini dapat dimulai secara penuh dan
konsisten. Ini adalah bagian dari komitmen jangka panjang
PGE dalam menyediakan energi bersih berbasis panas bumi
yang andal dan berkelanjutan. Dengan tambahan kapasitas
ini, kami tidak hanya memperkuat bauran energi nasional,
tetapi juga semakin mendekatkan langkah menuju target
kapasitas terpasang yang dikelola mandiri sebesar 1 gigawatt
(GW) pada 2-3 tahun mendatang, ujarnya.
Julfi juga mengungkapkan bahwa langkah ini menjadi wujud
nyata upaya PGE dalam berkontribusi mencapai target
perluasan kapasitas pembangkit Energi Baru Terbarukan
(EBT) hingga 76% dalam periode 2025-2034.
Ke depannya, kami optimistis untuk terus mendukung
percepatan target peningkatan kapasitas panas bumi nasional
sebesar 5,2 GW pada periode tersebut, katanya.
Selain PLTP Lumut Balai Unit 2, PGE juga tengah
mengembangkan beberapa proyek strategis lainnya seperti
PLTP Hululais Unit 1 & 2 (110 MW), serta sejumlah proyek co-
generation berkapasitas total 230 MW. Baru-baru ini, pada 26
Juni, PGE turut meresmikan eksplorasi (green field) PLTP
Gunung Tiga yang terletak di Lampung dengan potensi
kapasitas sebesar 55 MW.

Facts successfully completed an important stage in the
operationalization of the 55 megawatt (MW) Lumut Balai Unit 2
Geothermal Power Plant (PLTP). After passing the Unit Rated
Capacity (URC) test for 72 consecutive hours and being
declared fit for operation through the issuance of a Letter of
Operation (SLO) on June 29, 2025, the plant is now fully
operational and delivering electricity to the national grid. With
this addition, PGE now manages an installed capacity of 727.5
MW from six operating areas.
The URC testing process, which took place from June 26-29,
2025, demonstrated stable generation performance and
compliance with specifications. With the completion of the
signing of the URC Minutes and the issuance of the SLO, it is
expected that the project integration and synchronization
process with the national electricity network can run smoothly,
and make a positive contribution to the national energy mix
from new renewable energy sources, especially from
geothermal. This phase is also an important milestone in asset
monetization through electricity sales transactions by PGE to
PLN.

(PGE) Julfi Hadi said that this achievement is the result of the
collective work of the PGE team in the field and the support of
various stakeholders. We are grateful that the Lumut Balai Unit
2 geothermal power plant can now be fully and consistently
commissioned. This is part of PGE's long-term commitment in
providing reliable and sustainable geothermal-based clean
energy. With this additional capacity, we are not only
strengthening the national energy mix, but also moving closer
to our target of 1 gigawatt (GW) of self-managed installed
capacity in the next 2-3 years, he said.
Julfi also revealed that this step is a tangible manifestation of
PGE's efforts in contributing to achieving the target of
expanding renewable energy generation capacity to 76% in
the 2025-2034 period.
Going forward, we are optimistic to continue supporting the
acceleration of the national geothermal capacity increase
target of 5.2 GW in that period, he said.
In addition to the Lumut Balai Unit 2 geothermal plant, PGE is
also developing several other strategic projects such as the
Hululais Unit 1 & 2 geothermal plants (110 MW), as well as a
number of co-generation projects with a total capacity of 230
MW. Most recently, on June 26, PGE also inaugurated the
exploration (green field) of the Gunung Tiga geothermal power
plant located in Lampung with a potential capacity of 55 MW.
