Uraian Informasi atau Fakta Material Muara Enim, 15 Juni 2025 - PT Pertamina Geothermal Energy
Tbk (PGE) (IDX: PGEO) kembali menunjukkan komitmennya
dalam mendukung percepatan transisi energi bersih nasional.
Pada Sabtu (14/6), PGE berhasil melakukan sinkronisasi
perdana Pembangkit Listrik Tenaga Panas Bumi (PLTP)
Lumut Balai Unit 2 di Kabupaten Muara Enim, Sumatera
Selatan.
Sinkronisasi dilakukan pada kapasitas awal sebesar 10% dari
total daya terpasang PLTP Lumut Balai Unit 2 yang dirancang
mencapai 55 MW. Tahapan ini menandai pertama kalinya
listrik dari unit pembangkit disalurkan ke jaringan listrik PLN,
sebagai bagian penting menuju tahap operasi komersial penuh
(commissioning operation date/COD) yang ditargetkan pada
akhir Juni 2025.

Ahmad Yani menyampaikan bahwa pencapaian ini merupakan
bukti dari efektivitas pengelolaan proyek yang konsisten
dengan arah strategis perusahaan dalam mendorong
dekarbonisasi.
Sinkronisasi ini merupakan langkah penting di mana listrik dari
pembangkit mulai disalurkan ke jaringan listrik PLN. Ini juga
merupakan milestone penting yang menunjukkan progres
proyek berada di jalur yang tepat. Kami berkomitmen untuk
menyelesaikan tahap COD sesuai target waktu dan
menghadirkan kontribusi nyata terhadap bauran energi bersih
nasional, kata Ahmad Yani dalam keterangannya di Jakarta,
Sabtu.
Hadirnya PLTP Lumut Balai Unit 2 akan menambah kapasitas
panas bumi di Area Lumut Balai sebesar 55 MW, sehingga
total kapasitas area ini mencapai 110 MW. Unit ini
diproyeksikan dapat memproduksi sekitar 481 gigawatt hour
(GWh) listrik per tahun, setara dengan pemenuhan kebutuhan
listrik harian lebih dari 252.000 rumah tangga, mendukung
sekitar 396 perjalanan kereta cepat Jakarta-Bandung
(Whoosh), mengisi penuh sekitar 23.700 mobil listrik, atau
menopang operasional sekitar 2 hingga 5 data center bertipe
hyperscale.
Dengan adanya momentum ini, PGE akan mulai menghasilkan
pendapatan (revenue) dari penyaluran listrik ke jaringan PLN,
yang menandai dimulainya kontribusi langsung proyek ini
terhadap kinerja keuangan perusahaan.
Adanya tambahan kapasitas ini berpotensi untuk mengurangi
emisi karbon hingga 280.000 ton CO2 per tahun, sekaligus
mendukung upaya pencapaian target bauran energi 23% pada
2025 serta komitmen menuju Net Zero Emission (NZE) 2060,
tambahnya.
Project Manager PGE Proyek Lumut Balai Unit 2 Achmad Sri
Fadli, menjelaskan sinkronisasi pertama ini dilakukan setelah
melalui serangkaian pengujian teknis yang menyeluruh.
Proses sinkronisasi ini bukan sekadar menyambungkan listrik
ke jaringan PLN, tetapi melibatkan uji sistem secara ketat
untuk memastikan bahwa pembangkit beroperasi dengan
aman, efisien, dan sesuai dengan standar dan regulasi yang
berlaku, jelas Fadli.

Sebagai pionir energi panas bumi di Indonesia dengan
pengalaman lebih dari 40 tahun, PGE saat ini mengelola
kapasitas terpasang sebesar 672,5 MW dari enam wilayah
operasi. Perusahaan menargetkan peningkatan kapasitas
menjadi 1 GW dalam dua tahun mendatang, dan mencapai 1,7
GW pada 2034. Selain Lumut Balai Unit 2, PGE juga tengah
mengembangkan beberapa proyek strategis lainnya seperti
PLTP Hululais Unit 1 & 2 (110 MW), serta sejumlah proyek co-
generation berkapasitas total 230 MW.
PGE juga telah mengidentifikasi potensi sumber daya panas
bumi sebesar 3GW dari 10 Wilayah Kerja Panas (WKP) yang
dikelola secara mandiri menunjukan peran perusahaan dalam
mendorong ketahanan dan keberlanjutan energi nasional.
Kami berharap PLTP Lumut Balai Unit 2 dapat segera
beroperasi penuh secara komersial dan menjadi salah satu
katalis penting dalam pencapaian target energi hijau di

Facts Energy Tbk (PGE) (IDX: PGEO) once again demonstrated its
commitment in supporting the acceleration of the national
clean energy transition. On Saturday (14/6), PGE successfully
synchronized the first Lumut Balai Unit 2 Geothermal Power
Plant (PLTP) in Muara Enim Regency, South Sumatra.
The synchronization was carried out at an initial capacity of
10% of the total installed power of the Lumut Balai Unit 2
PLTP, which is designed to reach 55 MW. This stage marks
the first time electricity from the generating unit is channeled
into the PLN grid, as an important part towards the full
commercial operation date (COD) targeted by the end of June
2025.

Ahmad Yani said that this achievement is proof of the
effectiveness of project management that is consistent with the
company's strategic direction in encouraging decarbonization.
This synchronization is an important step in which electricity
from the plant begins to be transmitted to the PLN grid. It is
also an important milestone that shows the project progress is
on the right track. We are committed to completing the COD
stage according to the target time and making a real
contribution to the national clean energy mix, Ahmad Yani said
in a statement here on Saturday.
The presence of PLTP Lumut Balai Unit 2 will increase the
geothermal capacity in the Lumut Balai Area by 55 MW,
bringing the total capacity of this area to 110 MW. This unit is
projected to produce around 481 gigawatt hours (GWh) of
electricity per year, equivalent to meeting the daily electricity
needs of more than 252,000 households, supporting around
396 trips of the Jakarta-Bandung fast train (Whoosh), fully
charging around 23,700 electric cars, or supporting the
operations of around 2 to 5 hyperscale type data centers.
With this momentum, PGE will start generating revenue from
the distribution of electricity to the PLN network, marking the
start of the project's direct contribution to the company's
financial performance.
This additional capacity has the potential to reduce carbon
emissions by 280,000 tons of CO2 per year, while supporting
efforts to achieve the 23% energy mix target by 2025 and the
commitment towards Net Zero Emission (NZE) 2060, he
added.
PGE Project Manager of the Lumut Balai Unit 2 Project
Achmad Sri Fadli, explained that this first synchronization was
carried out after a series of thorough technical tests.
This synchronization process is not just about connecting
electricity to the PLN network, but involves rigorous system
tests to ensure that the plant operates safely, efficiently, and in
accordance with applicable standards and regulations, Fadli
explained.
As a geothermal energy pioneer in Indonesia with more than
40 years of experience, PGE currently manages an installed
capacity of 672.5 MW from six operating areas. The company
targets to increase its capacity to 1 GW in the next two years,

and reach 1.7 GW by 2034. In addition to Lumut Balai Unit 2,
PGE is also developing several other strategic projects such
as Hululais PLTP Units 1 & 2 (110 MW), as well as a number
of co-generation projects with a total capacity of 230 MW.
PGE has also identified 3GW of potential geothermal
resources from 10 independently managed Geothermal
Working Areas (WKP) - demonstrating the company's role in
promoting national energy security and sustainability.
We hope that the Lumut Balai Unit 2 geothermal power plant
can soon be fully commercially operational and become an
important catalyst in achieving Indonesia's green energy
targets, Achmad Sri Fadli concluded.
