PGN Secures Government-backed Gas Supply Agreements to Strengthen
Long-Term Growth
Jakarta – PT Perusahaan Gas Negara Tbk (PGN) reaffirms its commitment to
consistently provide clean and sustainable natural gas energy across Indonesia,
with strong support from the Government. This commitment was realized through
the signing of several Gas Sales Agreements (PJBG) and strategic collaborations
during the 2025 Indonesian Petroleum Association Convention & Exhibition (IPA
Convex).
At IPA Convex 2025 (May 20, 2025), PGN—represented by Commercial Director
Ratih Esti Prihatini—signed several PJBGs aimed at ensuring reliable gas supply
for customers while remaining aligned with the directives of the Ministry of Energy
and Mineral Resources (ESDM). The signed agreements include:
1. PJBG with PGE for household gas networks (jargas) with a volume of 0.9
BBTUD.
2. PJBG with Pertamina EP West Java for a gas volume of 12–17 BBTUD
(ramp-up).
3. PJBG with MBGI for a gas volume of 0.35 BBTUD.
4. PJBG with PHE Ogan Komering for a gas volume of 3.99 BBTUD.
5. PJBG Amendment with PHE North Sumatera Offshore for a gas volume of
8.48 BBTUD.
6. PJBG Amendment with Pertamina EP Medan for a gas volume of 4.5–11
BBTUD.
In addition to the PJBGs, PGN also signed a Heads of Agreement (HOA) with
Petronas Bukit Panjang to explore a potential gas supply of up to 31 BBTUD. This
HOA marks the beginning of a strategic partnership for PGN in securing alternative
gas sources. Both parties will remain fully compliant with government policies
regarding allocation and utilization.
“These Gas Sales Agreements and strategic partnerships are highly significant for
PGN to ensure the long-term utilization of domestic natural gas. PGN is committed
to playing a vital role in meeting the nation’s energy needs while aligning with the
Government’s initiatives to support national economic growth,” stated Ratih.

Ratih also expressed her appreciation to the Ministry of Energy and Mineral
Resources, SKK Migas, BPH Migas, and other related government institutions.
Through an integrated approach with the Government, PGN continues to take
tangible steps in structuring the national energy mix, working in synergy with fellow
energy SOEs and industry players.
“All stakeholders have shown strong collaboration by fulfilling their respective roles
effectively,” Ratih concluded.
