Uraian Informasi atau Fakta Material PT Pertamina Geothermal Energy Tbk (PGE) (IDX: PGEO)
menandatangani Joint Study Agreement (JSA) dengan
perusahaan energi asal Turki, Zorlu Enerji Elektrik Uretim A.S.
Penandatanganan tersebut dilakukan di Ankara, Turki ini
disaksikan langsung oleh Menteri Koordinator Bidang
Perekonomian RI Airlangga Hartarto, dan Menteri Pertanian
dan Kehutanan Turki Ibrahim Yumakli. Kegiatan ini merupakan
bagian dari Turkiye-Indonesia CEO Roundtable Meeting yang
diselenggarakan oleh KADIN Indonesia dan The Foreign
Economic Relations Board of Turkey (DEIK).
Bagi kedua perusahaan, kolaborasi ini menjadi langkah
konkret dalam mendorong kerja sama antarnegara di sektor
energi baru dan terbarukan dalam studi bersama proyek
panas bumi. Ini merupakan bentuk penjajakan kerja sama
dalam pengembangan proyek Pembangkit Listrik Tenaga
Panas Bumi (PLTP) di Wilayah Izin Panas Bumi milik Zorlu
Enerji di Turki.
Direktur Utama PT Pertamina Geothermal Energy Tbk. Julfi
Hadi mengatakan, melalui JSA dengan Zorlu Enerji ini, PGE
akan melihat potensi kerjasama pengembangan panas bumi
yang dapat memperkuat arah strategis Indonesia dan Turki
dalam mempercepat terwujudnya transisi energi bersih secara
global.
Kami ingin membangun sistem energi bersih yang lebih
berdaulat, stabil, dan berpihak pada masa depan. Panas bumi
adalah kunci untuk itu, karena merupakan sumber energi yang
indigenous untuk kedua negara. Kerja sama ini diharapkan
akan membuka peluang untuk mempercepat transfer
teknologi, membangun rantai pasok industri panas bumi yang
kokoh di dalam negeri, serta dapat menjadi daya tarik
investasi pengembangan energi baru dan terbarukan,
khususnya bagi Indonesia, kata Julfi dalam keterangannya
kepada media di Jakarta, Jumat, (11/4/2025).
Kesepakatan kerja sama yang dilakukan PGE dan Zorlu Enerji
ini merupakan tindak lanjut dari Nota Kerja Sama
(Memorandum of Cooperation) yang sebelumnya
ditandatangani oleh Kementerian Energi dan Sumber Daya
Mineral (ESDM) RI dan Kementerian Energi dan Sumber Daya
Alam Republik Turki saat kunjungan kenegaraan Presiden
Erdogan pada 12 Februari 2025, di mana Indonesia dan Turki
sepakat saling memperkuat ketahanan energi dari masing-
masing negara.
Beyond Diplomacy: Lompatan Konkret menuju Kedaulatan
Energi Hijau
Bagi Indonesia, panas bumi tidak hanya sekadar sumber daya
energi terbarukan, melainkan sudah menjadi aset strategis
nasional. Dengan cadangan mencapai 24 gigawatt (GW) atau
sekitar 40% dari total potensi panas bumi dunia, Indonesia
berpotensi menjadi pemain besar yang aktif mendorong
terwujudnya transisi energi bersih secara masif dan global.
Zorlu Enerji, yang merupakan pemain terbesar di industri
panas bumi Turki, menyambut baik kerja sama ini sebagai
bagian dari menjalankan komitmen dua negara yang
memimpin industri panas bumi di kancah global.

Dalam peta jalan transisi energi, panas bumi menjadi sumber
energi bersih yang selalu tersedia, tidak tergantung angin atau
matahari. Itu sebabnya pemerintah Indonesia menjadikan
panas bumi sebagai bagian penting dalam strategi nasional
untuk mencapai Net Zero Emission sebelum 2060.
Dengan pengalaman lebih dari 40 tahun, PGE menargetkan
peningkatan kapasitas terpasang dari 672 MW menjadi 1 GW
dalam dua tahun ke depan, dan 1,7 GW pada tahun 2034.
Dari sisi potensi, perusahaan telah mengidentifikasi cadangan
sebesar 3 GW dari 10 Wilayah Kerja Panas Bumi (WKP) yang
dikelola mandiri.
JSA dengan Turki ini diharapkan tidak hanya memperkokoh
kerja sama strategis antara kedua negara, namun juga dapat
membuka peluang kerja sama lainnya bagi PGE. Ini
merupakan aksi nyata PGE dalam mengakselerasi
pemanfaatan panas bumi secara optimal, sekaligus
mendorong pengembangan hilirisasi di sektor energi baru dan
terbarukan Indonesia. Pada kesempatan ini, kedua pihak
dapat memperoleh nilai tambah dengan mempelajari
pengelolaan panas bumi dan karakter yang berbeda antara
Indonesia dan Turki. Tak hanya listrik, sinergi ini juga
memungkinkan potensi diversifikasi bisnis hijau (beyond
electricity) yang lebih luas, termasuk pemanfaatan produk
sampingan panas bumi seperti hidrogen hijau, silika, dan
kredit karbon.

Description of Material Information or PT Pertamina Geothermal Energy Tbk (PGE) (IDX: PGEO)
Facts signed a Joint Study Agreement (JSA) with Turkish energy
company Zorlu Enerji Elektrik Uretim A.S. The signing was
held in Ankara, Turkey and witnessed by Indonesia's
Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto
and Turkey's Minister of Agriculture and Forestry Ibrahim
Yumakli. This activity was part of the Turkeyye-Indonesia CEO
Roundtable Meeting organized by KADIN Indonesia and The
Foreign Economic Relations Board of Turkey (DEIK).
For both companies, this collaboration is a concrete step in
encouraging cooperation between countries in the new and
renewable energy sector in the joint study of geothermal
projects. This is a form of exploring cooperation in the
development of Geothermal Power Plant (PLTP) projects in
the Geothermal License Area owned by Zorlu Enerji in Turkey.

Julfi Hadi said, through this JSA with Zorlu Enerji, PGE will see
the potential for geothermal development cooperation that can
strengthen the strategic direction of Indonesia and Turkey in
accelerating the realization of a global clean energy transition.
We want to build a clean energy system that is more
sovereign, stable and future-proof. Geothermal is the key to
that, as it is an energy source that is indigenous to both
countries. This cooperation is expected to open up
opportunities to accelerate technology transfer, build a solid
geothermal industry supply chain in the country, and can
attract investment in new and renewable energy development,
especially for Indonesia, Julfi said in his statement to the
media in Jakarta, Friday (11/4/2025).
The cooperation agreement between PGE and Zorlu Enerji is
a follow-up to the Memorandum of Cooperation previously
signed by the Indonesian Ministry of Energy and Mineral
Resources and the Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources
of the Republic of Turkey during President Erdogan's state visit
on February 12, 2025, in which Indonesia and Turkey agreed
to strengthen each other's energy security.
Beyond Diplomacy: A Concrete Leap towards Green Energy
Sovereignty
For Indonesia, geothermal is not just a renewable energy
resource, but has become a national strategic asset. With
reserves reaching 24 gigawatts (GW) or around 40% of the
world's total geothermal potential, Indonesia has the potential
to become a major player that actively encourages the
realization of a massive and global clean energy transition.
Zorlu Enerji, which is the largest player in Turkey's geothermal
industry, welcomes this cooperation as part of carrying out the
commitment of two countries leading the geothermal industry
in the global arena.
Geothermal: Solutions to Energy Challenges
In the energy transition roadmap, geothermal is a clean energy
source that is always available, not dependent on wind or sun.
That's why the Indonesian government has made geothermal
an important part of the national strategy to achieve Net Zero
Emission before 2060.

With more than 40 years of experience, PGE targets to
increase installed capacity from 672 MW to 1 GW in the next
two years, and 1.7 GW by 2034. In terms of potential, the
company has identified reserves of 3 GW from 10 self-
managed Geothermal Working Areas (WKP).
The JSA with Turkey is expected to not only strengthen the
strategic cooperation between the two countries, but also open
up other cooperation opportunities for PGE. This is PGE's real
action in accelerating the optimal utilization of geothermal
energy, as well as encouraging downstream development in
Indonesia's new and renewable energy sector. On this
occasion, both parties can gain added value by learning about
geothermal management and the different characters between
Indonesia and Turkey. Beyond electricity, this synergy also
allows the potential for wider diversification of green business
(beyond electricity), including the utilization of geothermal by-
products such as green hydrogen, silica, and carbon credits.
